How many people are on the team this season?

Speak for yourself, Sunshine.

One of the three upended sports is about to be in action again. I don't know squat about rifle, but it's a victory every time they compete going forward.

Not to be facetious, but I guess as many that were on it last season.

10 are listed on uabsports.com for last season.

I'm going to rifle and bowling events this year whenever I can. I imagine others will as well. It gives me an opportunity to buy another UAB ticket and t-shirt.

Turning these into "revenue sports" would be another fun way to make Watts look bad. If you promote it, they will come. Novel concept.

I think I heard they're adding a men's team this year as well.

I think a men's sport had to be added in order to stay Division 1. Must have 14 total sports I believe.

"...while rifle will resume competing with the upcoming 2015-16 season and become a mixed rifle squad with coed participation."

Head rifle coach Lori Goodwin is also looking forward to getting back to competition. “The rifle team and I would like to thank everyone — the fans, alumni and administration for their support of our return,” Goodwin said. “We are very excited about returning to competition this fall and also about the addition of male shooters to our squad. We are fortunate to have eight out of 10 of our current shooters returning this fall. I am thrilled to start competition right away, and we are ready to take aim for the Blazers once again.”
Where do they compete in Birmingham?
Looking at the picture below one might think we would compete at a location like Hoover Tactical Firearms.

Below is an even better picture of how they compete.

I heard that places like HTF want simply too much money for matches & are incompatible for the team. Matches must be indoors with controlled environment as these are .22 pellet type rifles. These Competition Rifles are $4,000 each and must either be bought with sponsor money or the individual.
In one of the pictures it appears that JSU has a facility on campus.

I'll do some hunting around to see what I can find.

EDIT:

This doesn't really answer your question, but I know they were looking to be co-ed this year. I saw a posting to the UAB Army ROTC looking for people who were interested.
