42, is that a markup from years past?? Seems like season tickets are strongly strongly encouraged.

A $2 markup from last year for sections C, D & E. An approx. $5 discount for sections A & G. 2014 single game tickets.

Yes, season tickets are strongly recommended. Why buy one for $42 dollars when you can go to two games for $37.50 each or three games for $25 each. Hopefully this gets the single ticket buyer to step up to the mini season ticket plan and go to at least two games.
-West side single game tickets range from $19.65 to $42...not a single thing to complain about that from my POV as a season ticket holder and someone who wants to see people come to the game.

-Student guest tickets are still just $14ea HOWEVER their limit is now down from 4 to 2...I am sure the NS will have a grumpy editorial about that but I am sure there are very few students that actually use more than 2 per game.

- East side tickets at $25ea is super reasonable. I know many were concerned with having a $42 price tag on these seats with the thought that it would discourage casual fans not willing/able to spend $42 on a ticket.

- Also interesting to see that Chairbacks and Benchbacks are not listed. I would guess they are holding those seats for season ticket sales AND possibly when it does come time to sell them individually they only sell them via a phone call to the NIU ticket office or walk up on game day. OR they could just not sell them individually at all to enforce selling them only as season tickets.
$42 for single ticket if I wanted to bring one person or even 2 to a game with us means I cannot bring anyone to a game with us. I don't know anyone who is willing to spend $42 or $84 for a couple for a game in DeKalb. (I think it's worth it but I am an addict...) I understand that they want to sell season tickets but this does discourage us from bringing people to a game & friends we bring would want to sit with us not away from us in an upper corner.

**Yes, we have season tickets. No it would not be hard for 1 or possibly 2 people to sit with us. Plenty of room all around us usually.

oh well.
Also - group tickets are a possibility. I can only go to one game this year so I arranged a group and got the group rate plan of $25/ticket
Shouldn't this be updated with a link for single game tickets? http://www.niuhuskies.com/tickets/

Also, shouldn't there be information on the mini plans on there? I don't even know where the info for the mini plans is. I googled it and found information on 2008 tickets...

I agree, that's is what we do for the homecoming game. While some of us are season tickets holders there are still a few that only attend homecoming.

If you have season tickets and are buying extra single game tickets, won't those people be sitting away from you anyways? I don't see how this changes that problem. Cost, I can sympathize with. Now, what if they offered discounted single game tickets for season ticket holders (one for each season ticket purchased), and max it out at 2 or 4 per season? That might help your pocket book, but not really the location of the friends you bring. Just a thought.

+1

Give me access to 6 individual tickets (I have 6 season tickets) at a $10 discount per ticket to help me bring guests. Also give season ticket holders access before the general public to get tickets. 1 week earlier should be enough time.

I know they tried giving season ticket holders that perk last year and it really didnt turn out to have much interest but I really think that was due to the schedule and lack of promoting it as a perk.
The ticketmaster site says "Limited number left" for all but the UNLV game, I take it that is just holding tickets back?

Who knows. It is one of the great mysteries of the universe.

no doubt as athletics is holding back a good chunk for any potential season ticket sales.

Is anyone able to pick a seat instead of just TM giving you the "best available"?

Nope that feature seems to have been taken away. Kind of glad, less stress hah

See what I posted above. There is plenty of room all around us so no matter where their seats really are, a guest could easily sit with us where our season tix are. The people at the gates know us & don't check tickets unless people are asking where their seats are. The people all around us are the same folks for many years so we all accommodate any guests they may have or I might have.

I do think allowing season ticket holder the perk of $10 off on single game tickets would be nice. If they did this last year, I think they should continue it.

Clarification on my previous post. Athletics offered season ticket holders early access to individual tickets last year...not a discount on those tickets.

For me it is even showing Limited number left for the Murray St. game.

Not being able to choose my own seat is a problem for me because I don't get around very well and need to pick something that will be the most convenient. I am hoping that I can choose with a phone call. I may just go east side and get there early.

Also, does anyone know if you can do the Red Mini Plan for the east side?

Unreal. Well, so much for bringing the entire family out for a game this year. They're not going to pay that. Looks like another season of 13K average attendance at Huskie Stadium. As good as SF is with so many other things, he seems to struggle with the concept of supply and demand.

So we should go back to the Compher method of basically handing out single game tickets for nothing?

That sure makes season ticket holders feel good!

It seems a bit steep, but everything being done right now seems to be geared toward the season ticket attractiveness, which is somewhat understandable. I think Frazier is seeing the non-conf schedule on the horizon and hoping the fans see the same thing too and invest in season tickets.
