Yeah, I just saw that on the main board. I will have to watch a rebroadcast on my Apple TV after work.

Listened to Pat O'Connor being interviewed by Matt Shepard on his WDFN radio show this morning and he sounds like a great kid. He is Eastern's only captain this season, which is a lot of responsibility. Shep was singing his praises, saying that he has an excellent shot to play at the next level. EMU fans and alumni should be very proud that Pat O'Connor will be representing the program at the MAC Media Day. I was very impressed.

I heard it also.

He was listed as 6' 4", 250. Wonder how he projects to the NFL? Excellent player and competitor. Wish there was more talent around him.

Damn. Would have liked to listen to that interview with POC... Although I'm sure I'll hear plenty from him later today.

One of the NFL preview mags had him as the #19 DE in next years class. That's without any combine numbers. If he has a season like he did last year, and gets invited to the combine, he will almost certainly get drafted. Not sure where, but he is quick and has an NFL DE body.

Per the media poll, Eastern got the fewest overall votes in the entire MAC. Central surprisingly got one first place vote.

I don't know who this dude is, but this is the second consecutive year that only one person has given CMU a first place vote. This year I especially don't understand.

CMU beat writer Nate Schneider gives CMU the first-place vote every single year...

CC didn't really have anything surprising to say. He thinks, as do I, that we'll have one of the best groups of linebackers in the conference, and also sent a lot of praise towards O'Connor. Says turnover margin needs improve and is thankful for this year's schedule.

He seemed low keyed, sadly he came on behind Fleck so anyone would seem low keyed compared to Fleck.

Definitely stayed to answering just the questions posed.

Any idea when they will post the 2015 EMU Football Media Guide?

I noticed the last couple of years it was out by now?

I really liked Fleck's presence. He's not long for WMU

In his interview with Niziolek, Pat O'Connor said this when asked if his NFL aspirations conflict with his preparation for his senior season: "To leave a legacy behind here so they can have a foundation where they can build up to a winning program would be bigger than any personal goals I could possibly have."

Gotta love the guy.
