UAB's Jerod Haase working on a series with the Kansas Jayhawks with a possible game in Birmingham

http://www2.kusports.com/news/2015/jul/2...y-returns/
Don't even care about the return game. I'd kill to see a game in Phogg Allen.
Thread title may be misleading. All the article says is that Haase would like to have a series with Kansas. Doesn't say anyone is working on one.

Quote:“I would love to play Kansas just in terms of getting back into the area and that kind of thing,” Haase said. “There is always that possibility moving forward and it could be really good. Now I just need to see if I can twist somebody’s arm and see if they’ll come down to Birmingham sometime, too.”
Possibility for a better job for him, can't blame him.

Why would the troll say that?

KU or UNC hiring Haase is even more speculative than a basketball series with KU. But if the only schools we have to worry about losing him to are KU or UNC, I ain't mad.
He is working on a series with them. Don't know if it will happen but if it does look for a two for one. I'm good with that for KU. Not an sec team. Even KY.
KU would be fun. Not to be confused by KY.

Not sure if serious. If Cal called Haase today and offered a 3-1 with two games in Lexington, one in Louisville, and one in Birmingham Haase would take that deal pronto!!!
Idk. I doubt it. He really doesn't want to do more than two for ones and only with the elite. That comment was mine not his about the sec.

That said I do know KY is about the only team he would do a 2-1 with in the sec.

We should really take a back seat to no one and schedule smart. 3-1 is not smart IMHO.

Certain schools you do that for. UK is one of those schools and the only school in the SEC you would do that with. That is smart scheduling and a no-brainer in my opinion. And if we did do it, it wouldn't mean we're taking a backseat to them. Didn't we do a 3-1 with UNC or was it just a 2-1?
2 for one with UNC.

List of schools you do a 2-1 for

Duke
UNC
Kansas
Kentucky
Michigan State
maybe Wisconsin
I don't think we want to play UCLA anymore, but UCLA too.

There are plenty of other schools that we probably should be willing to do a 2 for one on, but we shouldn't because it opens the door to more scheduling like that.
UConn?
No. Maybe in the past. Definitely not as a member of the AAC
We're talking about auto bids, not at large bids.

I considered them, but they are not the Indiana of old.
Would this series with Kansas start this upcoming season?
