...among G5 conferences, the American is second. Guess which is first? Yeah, the stinking Mountain West! FWIW, I think it's only a matter of time before some of the other AAC coaches get a top 25 win.

Who do YOU think is next up for the big upset win?

for the list: http://americanrx.blogspot.com/2015/07/g...llers.html
Oh, yeah, here are the ACC coaches with top 25 wins:

American Athletic:
Naval Academy (Navy) - Ken Niumatalolo (2-5)
Temple - Matt Rhule (1-3)
East Carolina (ECU) - Ruffin McNeill (1-4)
Central Florida (UCF) - George O’Leary (3-13).
According to that, American coaches have more Top 25 wins than MWC coaches.
UNC was actually ranked in the coaches poll last year when we annihilated them so that along with the VT win should be 2 top 25 wins for Ruff last year alone. He's also beaten several other teams that ended the season in the top 25 which is really more impressive.
Ruff had two just from last year: VT (17) and UNC (25)

It's still wrong, in his first year alone Ruff beat #24 Tulsa and #25 NC State

All hail ecu, the greatest g5 giant killer of all time!

Better?

Good point! 7 wins vs. 6.

Damn. All that because he corrected you? A little sensitive aren't we?

Kind of a silly calculation. Our program has plenty of Top 25 wins yet gets credit for zero here. Because we're between coaching regimes.

Wasn't that Russell Wilson led NC State team ranked #25 when Ruffin beat them?

I thought those teams were ranked too. I am pretty sure that NC State was ranked in Russell Wilson's last season there.

Don't you know by now... ACC teams not named FSU, Clemson, Miami, VT or GT do NOT get the benefit of the doubt when it comes to rankings!

2010 - unranked when ECU played them (1 loss to VT knocked them out)

1996, 1999. 2006 and 2013 - NC State had a ton of losses when y'all played them in all of those years.

It's not our job to make NCSU good. We just beat them whenever we play them.
its using the AP poll ..using multiple polls makes no sense for comparisons like this...just know you beat 2

Well it says we beat one so

Talk about sensitive, zfred12 didn't author the article. You and other ECU fans disputes are with the author of said article not with posters that are merely trying to figure out the criterion used to arrive at the conclusion.
