No trust...sign Clark to a long-term deal, and the payments will escalate exponentially. This article, coupled with the Hatton Smith comments, points toward a "calm down" signal. However, it's impossible to trust your rapist. FRW
This does bring up a question, though. In particular from this line:
Quote:In theory, football's return could be slowed down if the funds don't arrive at an appropriate time. The school has no interest in breaking ground on facilities before the majority of the money is received, according to a source, which isn't unusual when it comes to major construction projects.

My pledge dictates my first installment will be next month and will be paid out quarterly over the course of the year. I'm happy to pay early and pay each year's sum at the start of each academic year if there's a benefit to that.

Anyone?
No excuses for such a low number.
Yep. I want Clark signed and at least a planned path forward, and I'll send mine right in.
Once Clark's deal is announced, I'll submit my first payment.
If you made a pledge, it shouldn't have anything to do with Clark's return unless it was specified on the pledge form. I hope Blazer fans will honor their commitment regardless of whether Clark has a contract or not.
I'm more than willing to live up to my end of what I signed (start 1/1/16 for x amt & I'm sure many others used a such a distant date to begin as well) but so far Watts & Co haven't done anything to earn my trust, nor many others, to begin earlier payments. So far we've been the only ones to give on our end w/ little given on their end & until they do, I don't see anything improving so ball's in their court to improve things not ours.
Reality is most pledges are not due in until late fall or early 2016. (Mine due in January 16)This article sounds like it was prompted by DC or BOT. At least they got the other side of the story. Justin did good.

I think most people are going to fulfill their pledges but they simply are not all due in now. That's the reality of it. What is motivating me to send in my pledge in earlier than I stated when there is distrust in the administration and Clark still has no contract? Why should I send it in earlier than I stated?
My first year of my pledge isn't until the end of 2016.
I made mine due Jan 1 2016. I may or may not pay it early.

Ditto. Even if Coach Clark leaves I'll pay it at the deadline, but as soon as coach is signed the check is in the mail.

Part of me is concerned that they're still trying to find a way out and I don't wanna have to fight to get my money back.
I've received my signed and accepted pledged form back, but it was my understanding UAB was going to send an invoice. I was waiting on the invoice. Does anyone know if you can pay through the UAB sports webpage?

Same
When I pledged for the Alumni House I think we got an invoice/pledge reminder with a pledge # on it. I don't remember so I need to look it up.
I'll make my pledge payment on the date I specified on my pledge form.

To clarify my comment, my pledge isn't due until September but if Clark's contract is announced between now and then I'll pay early.

Exactly. Not sure why a fuss is being made over this. With the pledges made over 5 years and most people's first payment not due yet, it's not unusual that only $28k has been collected so far.
Our pledge forms say payment to start on or before 1/1/16. I told Brad if they got Clark signed up between now and then, Ill start paying early.
