Well, I'll tell you this...if Southern Miss shocked the college football world and ran the table to win the Conference, it would be gigantic sporting news for USM AND C-USA!.

I say...go ahead and give it a go, but don't be surprised if your opponents don't roll over for you. While I think most of us want a strong USM in football, you have to earn it, bud, not just announce it. But I admire your spunk, fella!

I felt this same way last year about the 2014 La Tech team (9-5), following the disastrous 2013 La Tech team (4-8). It can happen.

Is it just me or do southern miss fans say this every off season recently? If my team were in the doldrums I wouldn't be so cocky, until they showed it on the field. It just makes you look silly.
