Jones is ranked the #22 power forward and #99 overall in the country by Rivals. He was previously a commit at SDSU but asked and was granted his release last week. He has narrowed his list of schools to UTEP, Memphis, Syracuse and Providence. According to his twitter he will visit UTEP August 1. His high school teammate, Chris White is a walk on at UTEP.

I will take official visits to UTEP on August 1st

He would be part of UTEP's class this year.
Not trying to hijack, but WKU's in the final 5 for 4* Quinten Gooden. Ranked somewhere in top 75. Between WKU, Florida, Xavier, Michigan. We are the current favorite for him.
As sure as the sun rising in the East and setting in the West, is UTEP fans bragging about basketball recruiting.

I would rather be able to get excited about recruits than wallow in the disappointing and under achieving Charlotte basketball program.
Do we have enough schollys for these guys or is Floyd going to let a few go?

You've got a point there but UTEP hasn't been exactly lighting it up lately and you guys have an all-time losing record to our disappointing and under achieving program.

Well, that is obviously the number one reason we are recruiting so hard.
Hope you land him, need to get basketball in this conference goin.
With the sudden departure of Austin Nichols, Memphis is going after him pretty hard...he's set an official visit for Aug 4.

Quote:Recently released San Diego State 2015 signee Brodricks Jones, a 6-foot-9, 200-pound power forward out of Los Angeles, will make an official visit to the University of Memphis on Aug. 4, Jones announced via Twitter this morning...

Memphis, which could use another big man for the upcoming season with junior forward Austin Nichols transferring, originally offered Jones a scholarship last July, just days before he committed to San Diego State.

Memphis' coaching staff offered Jones again last Tuesday -- the same day Nichols' plans to transfer were made public.

Hopefully he will decide on the 1st...:) Sign right here Mr. Jones!!
^ UTEP has solid facilities, a good head coach, and a nice tradition with the 66 title...it will be a good battle between UTEP and Memphis for this young man...I think he would do well at either school, assuming he can make the grades.
Mike Rhodes alread has a 4* commit for Rice. Hopefully many more to come.
