Quote:Donald Trump on Thursday fired back at criticism from presidential rival Rick Perry.

The former Texas governor "failed on the border. He should be forced to take an IQ test before being allowed to enter the GOP debate," Trump tweeted Thursday afternoon.

The comment came hours after Perry issued a blistering statement that said Trump was mistaken on border security and only offered "a toxic mix of demagoguery and nonsense."

It was another in a series of jabs between the two candidates, to which Trump countered in another tweet by saying that Perry "doesn't understand what the word demagoguery means."

Think he did a good job in Texas. A very difficult state to govern for a myriad of reasons.

He's economically sound, knows how to create jobs. Even though he can't remember what departments he wants to eliminate, I'm glad he would want to. I could name probably 10 I would want eliminated immediately.

The Donald has no filter, though. It's pretty refreshing.

I agree....the donald has no filter....

Trump is better. Perry is only a little bit stupid and a little bit of a clown. Trump does stupid and clown bigger than the Texas guy.

Well he's giving Perry free publicity. Of course, Perry should remember the saying, "If you get down in the mud with a pig, you will get muddy and the pig will like it."
Right now Trump has monopolized media coverage, for dems and republicans. Its all Trump tv, all the time. Most of it is entertaining as hell. And he is getting people to think about what he is saying.

The media continues to try to play gotcha with Trump. They may eventually get him on something, but they have been failing to do so up to this point. All they have been successful in doing is driving up his poll numbers and his rally attendances.
Perry is just a do nothing.

It is pretty boring hearing the media talk about polls and campaign tactics all the time, thrown in with a few childish gotchas due to a verbal slip. The media never talks about the issues anyway.
It would be fun watching Putin and Trump together. What a circus. Putin could kick his butt so easily.

I'm telling you guys.....y'all better not discount what he's doing.....

people are sick of bs/pc/typical political rhetoric....

I would like to see Mark Cuban run....however, he knows better....that guy is a smart cookie....

he and trump are unafraid and both multi-billionaires....they can pretty much say and do as they want...

....trump bringing up the mexican issue is pure genius.....I don't like the way he phrased it....however, the minions are still biting....just think if he had a common sense plan on the table...

I'm not counting him out yet......hell, carter was followed by a hollywood goof, cali once had arnold, and minnesotta had a wwe guy (who I actually liked....his speak is similar to trumps and ted nugent)

american people are looking for someone with balls......perry damn sure aint got 'em
Trump is leading because the Surrender Party (GOP) still doesn’t get it. We want engaged opposition to the rampaging Demofascists.

I agree that Mark Cuban could be a decent candidate.

No ****. I don't get why people keep ripping trump. He's controversial but he's anything but stupid. He knows exactly what he's doing right now and is enjoying every minute of it. I don't think he can win but he can sure as hell point out some glaring issues nobody has the balls to talk about.

He's cost himself a bunch of money and future ways to make money. Basically he wants publicity. He's little different than Jenner and the Kardashians.

Of course, now that Huffington Post has relegated him to the entertainment section, more people will probably read about him!
