I've notice that we are sending two Redshirt Freshmen to represent ODU Football at the CUSA Media Day. Not to take anything away from QB Shuler Bentley & DE Oshane Ximines, but I think a few of our upper-class players should have been selected for this event. I know there are a few senior & junior players who deserve this opportunity. We are the only school sending players who have not played one down of college football. What gives?

Theories:
You send the guys who are expected to be your leaders
You send the guys you think will be your best players
What better way to emphasize your youth than by sending these 2?
Theory: Because we are getting zero respect we are giving it right back by sending underclassmen rather than our more established and perhaps well known players?
We are flying under the radar.

Remember ol Craig Wilkins was a freshman once there, he turned in to a beast for us.
Those are the two that I would send
When the season is over, I think all of C-USA will know who both those guys are. Great choices, although Lawry would also have been a great choice.
Players schedules also have something to do with who goes.
Shuler being there doesn't surprise. RS Freshman or not, he's our starting QB now and the leader of the offense. Oshane is a little surprising. However, the fact that he was chosen to represent the defense excites me because the staff must expect big things out of him this season.
