Ah...cut em some slack. Like all of you never did something incredibly stupid like this while loaded? Would have looked great in the dorm room, I'm guessing.

Hell, we borrowed several dumpsters from a frat in Miami and decorated them and raced em down High Street like a parade of floats at 4 am. Did the crime. Did the time. Get to brag about it.

My fraternity needed an ashtray for our front porch. We rolled a 100 lb concrete cylindrical one from in front of Old Chem down to the house.

Get real... They were not taking it to their dorm or fraternity house... They were taking it to a scrap dealer for cash.

The annoying part of it is that we have waited for this for so long. But these jerks could care less about UC or anything. They were hitting the construction site for a quick score. It happens all the time.

If the Riggins brothers can have some copper wire, why can't these guys have some railings?

I am more leaning toward drunken prank than guys looking for scrap. People who are boosting scrap metal are going to avoid a construction site they have to walk that far from to make their get away, plus they are going to go after brass and copper which brings a significantly higher price.

I get what you're saying. But the UC campus sort of belongs to UC students in a way that it does not belong to someone who just grew up down the road from it.

They can't do that to our campus, only we can do that to our campus.
