so I guess he figures...

Southern beats App, but drops 1 other, App beats stAte, stAte beats ULL and ULL drops one more game in conference.

Interesting.
I think troy does better than 9th this year.

Can't wait to get the season started
I could see a 3-way tie at the top, but I think anyone who loses more than 1 conference game is eliminated from the championship. I don't see the winner of the GS-App game losing more than one.

And before anyone jumps on me for that, I'm talking about GS and App State's obvious scheduling advantages and not about them being so much better than the rest of the league.

It's a long season, man. There are six teams with a realistic shot at taking the league and we only have one FBS season in the books. I wouldn't be surprised to see App or Southern finish perfect in the league or lose 3 conference games.

well if App state takes care of ULL again, and we beat App state, then I couldn't care less about them missing out on playing us. lol
Can anyone post his pre season ranking last year?

I want to see how all of his analysis transpired before and after.

All the 2014 picks.

I'm not sure if those are predicted finishes or just relative estimates.

GaSo and App were under most radars coming in.

Because of that and Troy's slide, the Sun Belt 2014 was the most erroneously predicted conference.

Phil Steele did have the best prediction for 6 conferences, the most of any pub, and did have the best prediction record overall last year.

The only conference that any pub got perfect was the mountain worst.
App has 3 tough games: ArkSt, GaSo, ULL but all are at home
ArkSt has 2 tough games: ULL, and APP
GaSo has 1 tough game: App on the road
ULL has 2 tough games: ArkSt and App

Of course, the rest of us will be looking to upset everyone.

The black-and-blue is relatively early in the conference season, but should be fun.

Save that game for the closer next year.

I would consider GS's early conference slate with two away games back to back (Idaho and ULM) to be pretty challenging as well just because it will be extremely tough on our players both mentally and physically.
One thing we can be sure of is that this is not what will happen.
No disrespect to Idaho, but that's higher than I would have thought.

At ULM will be tough. We will be at Idaho the week before.

So in your opinion TXST & USA are not tough? The only reason I ask is I see the post of the two fan bases and wonder if they actually believe some of the things they say. I have said this before your perception of yourself is always different than other people's perception of you.

I will probably get killed for saying this but I see the success of ULL and ArkSt as the limit for any SB team including GS & App if they remain in this conference. CUSA is in the same boat so a perceived move to that league would yield the same results. I think we live in our own little bubble surrounded by everything about our perspective schools that we think everyone outside of said school is taking notice. Not saying there aren't fans that are not noticing but it ain't as many as we believe.

The problem with what your saying is no school has managed to get a lot of wins ooc or if they did they were no names, if app managed this year to beat Clemson in ooc as well as the other easier ooc and won all but one conference game, could easily be in the national spotlight atleast until that loss happens, go undefeated including against a p5 and you get the first SBC top 25 team
If Southern can't win it, I hope Idaho does.

I am starting to root for the Vandals.
