Dear Tip-In Club Fans

You are invited to a press conference where the UALR Department of Athletics will unveil new logos and announce plans for its new brand. The conference is set for Wednesday, July 1st at 11am in the lobby of the Bailey Alumni Center on UALR’s campus.

The Bailey Center is located on 28th street, directly across from Lot 13 east at the Jack Stephens Center. Parking will be available in Lot 13 East.

The event will be open to the public and all Trojan Fans and supporters are encouraged to attend
This has got me wondering what changes are going to be made. Surely they won't change the Trojan head(kind of wish they would)that is all over everything, and on the wall by the windows to the Fisher Gym, and I think it's on the outside wall of the Stephens Center, plus the one on the court won't be a big deal, as they'll probably refinish the court anyway. It'll be interesting. I suspect the Trojan head will remain, and the main changes will be the new "Little Rock Trojans" brand.
I'm excited about the press conference tomorrow. If you can possibly come out to the Bailey Center Tomorrow to support the announcement please do. Did I say I was excited about the news on the Brand Front?
We are milking all this stuff for all it is worth, and that is GOOD! Lots of things to talk about this season, and we are talking.
Well, if we are going to have a new brand, we need to do something to make sure it gets in the stores in Little Rock.
Good point!
Trouble is, I don't know how you get that done. Maybe someone in the Business Department would have an idea.
After your post I sent an email to see if that was part of the plan.
Just hear Wess Moore say that as of tonight, FOX16 will no longer cover UALR athletics. He said more on the story tomorrow night. Sounds like something I might want to see happen. Am curious as to what it's gonna be.
Was told today by a little birdie that you guys would like this change.
ULAR? UARL? Whatever... LITTLE ROCK! I hope they kick it off with a prominent national media figure showing that "UALR" is a tongue twister that needs to go AWAY. You know, to drive the point home.
Nobody has contacted me to acquire littlerocktrojans.com yet.
The main thing to me about all this is just that they are making a big deal out of it, as it should be. Ordinarily, a logo change would not be earth-shaking, but this is different.

I don't know Pappy, if they were changing something in the Hogdom, there would be every TV station in the state, Wally small, and about five other reporters from the Democrap camped out for at least two or three day prior to the changing of the pig. Yes this is big........for us at least.

At least Wess Moore played it up last night on FOX16, when he announced at the end of the sports segment that "as of tonight, FOX16 will no longer cover UALR athletics......there will be more on that tomorrow night."
At least we know that there will be no re-naming of the Jack Stephens Center. That's set in stone.
Very curious to see what y'all's new logo gonna look like-any of you insiders or boosters gotta peak at it yet?
Trojan with "Little Rock".........big deal..............!!!!!!!
For most situations, I agree. Why even pay attention to it? Logically, it ought not to merit more than a nod.

But not having that "UA" hung around our necks will feel like a big deal for those of us who don't oink in a Pig state. We are so used to the attitude of having to get permission to clear our throats that anything that even resembles rebellion against Fayetteville is huge.
Impressed that former Coach Bill Ballard was there. He was coach from 1961 to 1965. He was the first coach after we became known as Little Rock University.
