What,s the latest news on the big from Pittsburg? Do we still have a good chance to sign him?
Strong speculation that he is in, but they're waiting on something to happen. Paperwork or scheduling.

Uchebo.

Some fans saying he'd be a great 5 and put Jurkin in the 4.

Still CANNOT believe all this is happening!

EDIT- BlackBart just texted. He wants credit for the idea to put Jurkin at 4, U at 5. Happy now, big boy?

I thought about that too. Personally I think if we sign him, he'll start over Jurkin, just my opinion though. My thinking is if the coaching staff is signing 5th year Seniors with one year of eligibility then they will probably be starting.

Jurkin has shown flashes of the 4 skillset in recruiting videos, though, and demonstrated a clear shooting touch even out to the perimeter at the last bluenanza. If we have Jurkin at 4 and Uchebo at 5 starting, I'm going to assert that ETSU will have the best frontcourt in the SoCon.

Don't see Jurkin/Uchebo on the floor together much. Jurkin can't put it on the floor from the 4 spot and together they slow things down too much. Maybe in spurts or against certain match-ups at times. Actually expect Lufile to end up as the main 4 guy. He's getting a bit lost in all the talk but can do a lot of things on both ends. However this roster has developed a lot of flexibility. Preseason is going to see some real wars in the gym as guys fight for spots and PT. Will be interesting to see how returning guys respond as they haven't been through anything like what they're about to experience.
Nice. Completely understand that Jurkin is a true and natural 5. Will wait to see which players step up and what the coaches decide to do with the rotation. Excited to see how flexible and adaptive the lineups can be! Hopefully no more losses doing the same thing every night.

Lufile is definitely a dynamic newcomer; I mentioned upon his signing that he has NBA size for small forward/wing as he is described. That would also be a tough 4 with bigs like Jurkin or Uchebo under the rim. I'm just glad Lufile won't be our next center, because that's where he would have been stuck with previous teams.

Even without an effective Jurkin-Uchebo combo, I still think this frontcourt will lead the SoCon.
