"If you're going to schedule a MAC team, Northern Illinois is one of the few worth scheduling."

There is a good Huskie hi-lite video accompanying the article.
I like this quote "Northern Illinois has the talent, and won't be daunted by playing another Big Ten team."

Overall - the author give NIU quite a bit of respect.
I wonder when the last time a #1 ranked team lost to an unranked out of conference opponent.

At least we stand a better chance than Hawaii's 0.1%!03-lol
The only Big 10 team on their schedule that has any chance at all of beating them is Michigan State. they will absolutely stomp Indiana, Maryland, Rutgers Illinois and Michigan(at least in Harbaugh's first year) They get Penn State(who has a good starting QB) Minnesota (Kill can coach we know that) and Michigan State at home.

As well as they played in the Big 10 title game and the playoffs last year; they could have played with a number of lower end NFL teams (including the Bears)
their road games are Indiana, Rutgers Illinois and Michigan. they will have at least half the crowd at Indiana and Illinois with a substantial number at Rutgers

For the love of God, why do people continue to make observations like these? There is a big difference between the college game and the pro game.

Well, let's not go that far. Remember what happened in Harbaugh's first season at Stanford? They beat USC on the road as 40 point underdogs, with a backup QB. The game is in Ann Arbor as well.

While I agree that OSU probably wins, saying they'll stomp Michigan is a little extreme.

So true – the talent level is not comparable and the depth of NFL teams is better than The starting unit any college program
How many Ohio State players do you think will actually ever play in the league much less start?
OHIO STATE WOULD HAVE BEEN CRUSHED BY ANY NFL TEAM LAST YEAR. Why do people keep trying to make this argument whether it's Bama, OSU or UK in bball. Just stop.
Ohio State lost to Virginia Tech last year.

"So you're saying there's a chance..."

There's always a chance, but OSU would have to turn the ball over 7 times and Hare & co. would have to have the game of their lives on offense for it to happen, and even then it's not a guarantee.
I always believe anything can happen, but I think NIU plays very tough, keeps it respectable (hopefully), then in the late 3rd and 4th quarter Bucks are too much. Have to think we pull a lot of our guys if the game gets out of hand, save on injuries. Hats off to Ohio State, they have a hell of a program.
I have a feeling this game is going to be like the Arkansas game last year.

I hope the players and coaches learned something from the Arkansas game to not make the OSU game seem like the same thing.
Akron could have beaten OSU. You just never know.
