Quote:3. Drew Hare- Northern Illinois. Hare is possibly one of the best, and unknown quarterbacks in the country. Buried in the MAC as a sophomore he had a monster season in 2014, throwing for 2300 yards and an 18/2 TD/INT split. What scares me the most about Hare is his ability to take off with his feet. BC is not going to be able to blitz like they usually do, because Hare will just take off. With quarterbacks like this, you want to keep him in the pocket, but even there his accuracy is pretty good (59.5%.

I'm interested to see how Hare's rushing stats look this year. I don't think he'll be as effective as he was last year.

I think his throwing numbers take a pretty big step forward, though.
I don't consider 59.5% a very good completion percentage, when we have so many short throws. But as it was his first year starting, he should be better this year.

You don't think the Bobblehead Express is likely to chew up the same kind of yardage on the ground as he did last year?

Scares the hell out of me every time he takes off. He looks like me... but I turn 44 next week and am a middle school social studies teacher, so it's OK if I look weird running.

Lol. This was a great post! The bobblehead express hahaha!
Remember he had a 70 yard chunk play vs EMU which was quite honestly one of the most improbable plays you'll ever see at this level of competition. I watched it over and over and couldn't figure out how it happened.

Couple of plays like that in Miami game too.

I think everyone is right. We've got so many slot weapons that I think we'll see a ton of dink and dunk and if he just improves the deep ball just slightly his completion % goes up drastically.

I honestly wonder what he thinks of his own running ability... I mean... He sure as hell has some moves, but they are so awkward looking sometimes. I just don't want him to get hurt. He isn't built the same as Lynch right now. That said, Lynch looked completely different his Freshman and his senior year.

Not sure if you saw the conversation on twitter between Myers and Hare...apparently there is a new banner in the weight room with the word "SPEED" which features a pic of Hare on it. They both seemed to think it was funny.
