Pretty cool.

Why would the students need a new iPad though?

Probably using it as a touch screen edit controller for Final Cut Pro.

Yea - we can make that happen. And sell tickets at $10 - proceeds going to the Athletic Dept. #justsayin

The gofundme write up states that the movie is attached. Where? It's probably right in front of me, but I don't see a link.

It's the 12 minute short that debuted in the Student short Festival in April. The long version is on the works, hence the gofundme.
But if you haven't seen the short version yet it's here >

I was thinking free admission but its their film and it should be their choice. You would raise more money just having people speak before or after the file and have a table set up from the football foundation to take donations. You don't want to discourage attendance by students who may have limited funds

Curious, if these are students and the short film was done via their participation in the UAB Media Studies program, couldn't they just use the equipment at UAB to do the whole thing?
This is great and all, but if we're just buying some folks an iPad I'm not sure I see the point. I hope this can be turned into a way to raise money for UAB itself.

I heard they originally edited it down from 40+ minutes to this 12 minute piece. How much longer would the final version need to be if they keep filming?

There is another chapter to add, post-reinstatement. New interviews, new footage & editing is needed to add to the storyline.
