One thing I'd like to see Chasse do is have a greater selection of T-shirts, sweat shirts, and caps, and have them available in Walmart and Target where they are more accessible for the fans. Hell, we can only get them at the Jack in most cases. I had a Trojan shirt years ago, maybe in Newell's time, that had a big orange basketball going thru a net with either UALR or Trojans above it. I can't remember which. I wore that sucker out. That was my favorite Trojan shirt of all time.

The Target stores in LR generally have some UALR apparel.

I mentioned to Chasse, and I believe I started seeing a change at the end of last season, that the T-Shirts thrown into the crowd should be UALR Maroon and have our emblem in the front (the sponsor logo could be in the back). Don't think it costs the sponsors any more to print maroon as compared to white T-shirts.

What little bit I've seen in stores, you don't have much to choose from. You might find one T-shirt and maybe one if you're lucky. Have several T-shirt designs to choose from. And maybe several Trojan caps to choose from.

Baby steps. Chasse said we've added 25 season ticket holders (23 not counting you) before starting our campaign. He will make improvement in all areas, but it won't happen overnight.

Don't know for sure, but I'd bet the colored shirts cost more. Don't know, just guessing. Hell it doesn't matter what color the free shirts they toss into the crowd are. I'm guessing that they are cheap shirts. I'm talking about nice looking T-shirts and sweat shirts you can wear out just about anywhere. I know we could never expect to see the assortment of shirts the hogs have in stores, but what about three or four choices to choose from, and personally I'd prefer maroon. And it doesn't show stain like white ones do when some of us old codgers eat a hot dog and drip mustard on your shirt.

I don't give a **** if we have five fans, we need some good looking gear to wear when we go to the games. And, you're right, baby steps, because you aren't going to rebuild in a year or two what it took Steve Shields twelve years to tear down.
