Since we just hit the reset button, I was thinking that now might be the time to start some new gameday traditions.

Other than running through an inflatable Dragon head, we pretty much don't participate in gameday traditions.

We obviously hae the social media power to spread the word...like a Phoenix from the ashes, what new traditions could we ignite?
Fire Ray Watts chant on 3rd downs while we are on defense!

Fire Ray Watts chants on every PAT, or kick-off, or first downs, or in between quarters, or when the band comes off the field after their halftime show, or all of the above! ! ! !
Well if it was FRW when the opponents shot a FT, I'd say during a FG or PAT that an opponent scores so hopefully that's not very often
A dragon's head that looks like it just popped out of Bartow Arena would be nice. It needs to have a roar that goes off every 1/2 hour and it shoots a ball of flame into the sky 1 hour, 30 minutes and 5 minutes before the game tips off.
gold blazer rags similar to the steelers terrible towels to spin over our heads during kickoffs etc. gold instead of green because it looks better on tv and in person than dark green
I'm all for starting every pre-game with a rousing chorus of "We're Not Gonna Take It" or some other suitable song of defiance to make sure we never forget what happened Dec 2, 2014.
New traditions will grow organically from the student body. I have faith in them to step up.
Students actually coming to games. That would be a good tradition.

Or the coaches. At Va. Tech, it was actually the players and staff that came up with coming out to Enter Sandman (though I suspect they were watching ECW and saw Sandman come out and how insane the crowd would react).
At Tennessee, running through the T wasn't the band director's idea. It was Doug Dickey's, the coach at the time. He went to the band director and asked if it was possible for the band to form a T for the band to run through. They didn't even play Rocky Top back then. Last year, Butch Jones at UT ASKED for students, players, and fans for input for more gameday traditions. That's what started the "3rd down for what" chants that even the old farts got into as well as the circle of life drill with the drumline on the field.
Be creative, discuss it, engage Coach Clark. All that stuff will come, today is about finding money, and building was is essentially a brand new program. Because of what happened December 2nd, 2014, UAB is in the boat where ODU, South Alabama, Charlotte, and all the others who have had to start/relaunch programs.
You guys will get there. One day at time.
I want to see a pumpkin explode when UAB scores a touchdown.

+Infinity. Surely this can be done either in reality or at least on the mini-tron we call a Lesion Field scoreboard.
New tradition of only selling tickets on the sunny side. I need a tan.
Fight the Powers, Isley Brothers

Time is truly wastin'
There's no guarantee
Smile's in the makin'
You gotta fight the powers that be

Got so many forces
Stayin' on the scene
Givin' up all around me
Faces full a' pain

I try to play my music
They say my music's too loud
I tried talkin' about it
I got the big run around
And when I rolled with the punches
I got knocked on the ground
By all this bull**** going down

Time is truly wastin'
There's no guarantee
Smile's in the makin'
You gotta fight the powers that be

I don't understand it
People wanna see
Those that got the answers
Red tape in the way

I could take you in easy
That's just half the fun, oh boy
Seeking satisfaction
Keeps me on the run

I try to play my music
They say my music's too loud
I tried talkin' about it
I got the big run around
And when I rolled with the punches
I got knocked on the ground
But all this bull**** going down

Time is truly wastin'
There's no guarantee
Smile's in the makin'
You gotta fight the powers that be
Got it baby

If you and I can
We got the power
Fight it, got the power
Fight it, baby, baby
Fight it, fight the power

Fight it, got the power
Fight it, got the power
Fight it, got the power
