@Tonethebone37: @Darth_Tide I'm hearing there's been an "internal struggle" with the UAB situation all weekend-70 out 30 in@openingdrive

Apparently his "source" is saying the weekend wasn't kind to UAB Football. Apparently an internal struggle has occurred and its 70-30 against a return. I'm guessing the 70-30 is the BOT.
Internal struggle

Ray v Everybody not Ray.

UA BOT + Ray Watts vs "Everyone else" is not a fair fight IN ALABAMA. We shall see Monday.
all weekend, I've found the silence from the "insiders" to be very concerning...combined with this. i don't feel good
I don't see Bryant allowing us to have football. just that simple
We have been saying all along these clowns do not have UAB's best interests in mind and calling them "Trustees" has been nothing but a sick joke. Now let's see if their arrogance leads them to turn down millions of dollars, so they can show everybody else what we already know.

Either way tomorrow is going to be a big day. The "Trustees" either show themselves to be the biased gits they truly are or we get football back. I thought they would take the prudent way out by reinstating football, but I am beginning to suspect they aren't as pragmatic nor smart as I had believed.
Dammit. These sorry dogs got to go.
Just announce it tonight and be done with it. This cesspool of a state is to far gone for anything to ever change. I'm past the point of caring.
The silence is very concerning. A positive for football would have been leaked by now.

So would a negative.

It's not like Ray has any friends left to tell about it.
I was hoping we'd have heard news of a press conference being scheduled for tomorrow by now.
I've only seen twitter posts about a press conference. Ray said there'd be an email.
I wouldn't go into panic mode over Kurre's twitter message. Like Band Dad told me, "get a grip!"
I don't believe there is going to be a press conference. Someone posted a tweet, but was it a media member or someone official with UAB? UAB has already announced how the info will be reported. They would be given a heads up to the media if that had changed. My guess is Watts is going to announce the decision the way it was said he was going to announce it.

He does not want to answer questions no matter what the decision will be. He has proven that he sucks at handling the press. He reportedly has people paid to tell him that.

If the decision is no, we find out tomorrow by email. If the decision is yes, we find out by tomorrow by email and Ingram will hold a press conference in a day or so, with no Watts in sight. That's my guess.

It may be very late tomorrow. That is how the Ingram announcement went down when there was a deadline.
Yeah I'll be kinda shocked if there's another press conference for a no answer. We've only seen cryptic allusions to a press conference...nothing highly credible at this time.
He could send out Ingram to announce it's coming back. Nobody'd jump down his throat like they'd do Ray.

It would be in keeping with his cowardice.
It's pretty obvious what's happening.

No amount of money raised would be enough. So Watts lets it out that he has to go to the BOT, who of course say no. Now tomorrow Watts gets to come out and say "Well gosh, I wanted it to come back but it wasn't my call." Takes the heat off him and the BOT is above the law so they don't care.

If it's no, there is no way Watts is going to leave the BOT twisting in the wind. He is not going to bite that hand. It will be something along the line of pledges is not money in the bank or something about the University's mission.

I must respectfully disagree. If Watts continues to fight against reinstatement, I expect he will stick with the story that it's his decision. He won't publicly admit overriding input of the BOT because of the risk of even more public outcry.

That being said, I don't know what to expect tomorrow. I hope for the best but I expect the worst. I just want nothing more than to be wrong...
