Do you live in Arkansas? In rethinking some of your posts, it occurred to me that you have seen Coach Beard's practices and know a lot more about him than most of us. Could it be you were a supporter of his at either Texas Tech, Angelo State, or both? Will you be here for all of our games, or will you be checking in at long distance.
We're happy to have you on the board wherever you are, since you seemingly have access to information the rest of us don't have, since we've just recently been introduced to Coach Beard. Hope you will keep sharing your insights with us since most of ours are based on pure speculation, whereas you obviously have more valid information to share.

Good observation Outside.....!!! Yes, I have been a supporter of Coach even prior to Angelo State. Unforturely I will only have the chance of attending a few of the games. Are the games televised? Can you view games via paid cable? You folks that will be attending the home games are going to really see a coach at work....!!!! Beware - when the coat comes off, look out...................
We've already had one of those.
What does that mean, Jim T........................???????

Wimp Sanderson. When his coat came off, it was pretty funny. When I was at IU, Beard's mentor came during my sophomore year. That was before the goofy sweater era. He wore jackets. When the coat came off, could a chair be far behind? Don't get me wrong. I have always been a big Knight fan. And I hope that Chaase made the right choice in hiring a Knight protege.

Especially for Jim T. - - - - - -
While Coach Beard did in fact learn a lot from Knight, he's his own man.....!!! It was quite an opportunity for a young Head Junior College coach to be chosen to be an assistant with the legend along with Knight's own son. Think about it Jim T., of all the coaches in the land, Knight choose Beard to join him at Texas Tech..
When Beard's coat comes off, a chair is not next. You will see, in action, one of the future Hall of Fame coaches.......

Hope you're right, since we weren't going to get that other protege from Duke. Or the one from UCLA. Or Randy Wittman from the NBA. Didn't want Isiah Thomas.
