over or under, what do you say?

I say over. I think we get 9. I always favor a returning Qb.
I think it will be tough to get to 9. We have a new DC and have to plug a lot of holes on D. The offense should be phenomenal and score a ton. We may have to step on the gas and outscore some teams.

Missouri St --- W
@Kansas -- W
Bowling Green -- W
Cincy -- toss up
@USF -- toss up
Ole Miss -- L
@Tulsa -- toss up
Tulane -- W
Navy -- toss up
@ Houston -- toss up
@ Temple -- toss up
SMU -- W

5 games that most likely will be wins. Even though I say toss up, I still think we should beat USF, Temple, and Tulsa but those are roads games. That would be 8. Do that and need to get 2/3 vs Cincy, Navy and Houston with 2 of those 3 at home.
I think the under is likely. But, as usual, Vegas apparently has this down cold.
7-10 wins is the range I see, they nailed the betting range in my mind.

We could push 50k for the Cincy game if we started 3-0.

Bowling Green also on the road. You forget Bowen always gives opponents first home game.

Two straight road games before returning home for Conference openers is a potential trap game situation. If we have too many turnovers from offense pressing too much and trying to do too much we could lose at either BGU or KU.
Under. I think 8 wins.
I would love to see us get to nine. The problem is there are alot of games that could go either way. That Kansas game is away and they played TCU close last year. The biggest questions are who will step up and run the ball like Hayes did, and how good wil our front be on defense ?
Personally, I love that we are debating # of wins and all opinions have us >6. Amazing how far we've coming in 3-4yrs.

If Vegas thinks our defense will be good enough to win 8.5 games, then I figure we get one win we "shouldn't" get, and one "what the heck?" game we shouldn't lose, but do.

But what do I know? I once lost a coin flip 5 consecutive times.
14 - 0 baby!!!

Seriously though, some of you have already said this, but we will have little margin for error against a lot of teams this year. Many of the games that I think we can win are on the road, such as Kansas, Bowling Green, USF, etc., which makes those wins even harder. This is our toughest schedule since Coach Fuente has been here. It may also be his most talented team (I believe it to be) since he's been here, but time will tell. This team has another opportunity to be special, but they'll have to really get after it each and every week. Knowing the character of this team and the coaching staff, I have no doubt that they'll be ready to play!

99 days 'til kickoff.

Go Tigers!
The .5 counts for a moral victory

If we start 3-0, we'll win more than 8.5 games, easy.

This is what matters. The paradigm shift in our fanbase has been incredible to watch.

IF we start out with 3 wins, the Cincy game will be OVER 50,000!!! The city will be buzzing!!!
8-4 and a good bowl game would be great. Anything better than that will qualify as amazing.
I only see 3 toss ups, and they are all based on our unproven Defense.

I don't like back to back road games so early but Fuente's teams seem to thrive on the road. I love that attitude. We need to jump out early on Kansas and Bowling Green and then run it down their throat.

Does the 8.5 include a bowl game and any possible playoff games?
I could very easily see a loss at Bowling Green...They have a good offense like us, and our D will be very raw..
