Great to see local High School coaches stepping up to help out in the fight. Yet another voice of support to make our side stronger.

Awesome
Perfect letter -- wouldn't change a single word.
This is huge. Wish they would have gone north and south to get other coaches to sign on.
Woot my alma mater on there (Mortimer Jordan)! This is a great letter.
Every BOT member needs to be copied on that letter.
With AU and UA signing only about 5 instate public high school FB players each per year since 2010, it is Troy, UAB and USA that stand to be the best D1 hope for most unless they can sign out of state. (Last Feb. UA, AU, MS State signed about 5 each and So Car signed 2. The other TEN SEC schools signed NONE)

This has helped the lesser ranked instate public and private schools who have been able to get more Alabama players than they used to get. EX: Miles and Jax State signed about 20 each.
The Faculty Senate, UAB VP's and the Alumni Society also should be made aware of this powerful statement!
glad to see Coach Yeager(Mountain Brook) sign
Watts does not care about the high school coaches and the only thing Finis, PBJ, and Espy care about is they send the best kids to Tuscaloosa.

Love the article and it helps overall perception but DO NOT LET UP! Keep calling, writing, e-mailing, and being the squeaky wheel. If you have not written everyone again this week you are slacking. Get on it. That is the best help right now. Help fund the commercial. That is huge. send $10.00 if that's all you can send. The price of freedom is not cheap.
+1 - Watts doesn't care what anyone thinks other than a couple of BOT members (the true minority not us)
Imo, Watts and the BOT will not bring back football. There isn't anything that will legally make them do it. That is the issue. Is what they did wrong? Yes. Other than make Birmingham people mad, will anything happen to them if they don't bring it back? No.
I hope I'm wrong but I don't see any way, other than a change in legislature, that will bring back football to UAB. Ray Watts and the BOT just don't care about the money we raise or the letters that are written. I hope I'm wrong though.
Look, nobody here believes Watts wants to bring it back. The point of exercises like this is to bring more pressure to bear on the decision. The more piling on by news like this, the worse the decision looks.

Maybe Watts is narcissistic enough to think he can somehow salvage his legacy either way, I don't know. Hell, he could just be to stupid to care.

I'm going to predict right now that Punkin Head is not UAB's president when the '16 football season rolls around.
This letter will add weight to the scales of injustice if Watts choose not to bring football back, this will add fuel to the question, Who knew, when did they know, what did they do, and why was it done.
I find I am in the minority here, I believe words are powerful and alive, they breath life and suffocates the same breath out of the living.
I am going to say football will return until it doesn't.

That's more narcissistic than the Clintons......
Damn, I guess I am getting to emotional about this stuff because my eyes started misting up as I read this letter.

While it is true that Watts and the evil BOT three don't care about what high school coaches think, this is about creating such a heavy load of public perception that they think twice before rejecting the chance to restore the program and will suffer heavily if they make the wrong choice. This letter adds a ton of bricks to that load.

Tired of not being able to do anything while Watts makes up his fricking mind? Donate to the Green and Gold Fund media campaign on GoFundMe. That's a positive step you can take right now.

I love the Clintons... I hate Watts
Eye on the ball, please. Let's not let this great letter get lost on the politics board.
This organized effort by the football coaches is a HUGE chess move for Free UAB.
