I disagree with John here. You can dislike Cattles for many reasons, not only because he flip-flops.

Agreed. He should have said "This, among many other reasons, is why people don't like you.."
I don't know Cattles personally, therefore I won't say I don't like him, as a person. I can say I don't care for his radio personna, his butchering of the English language with that retarded sounding Boston accent, his lack of imagination, lack of local coverage (except what ODU pays for) and incessant small talk with his staff. Other than that , I have no opinion.
Cavs swept. Hah!
Did you all see that Nick is opening a sports bar in Town Center?

Seriously? What an awful idea.
Know where?

According to the man himself, it's called "The Tailgate Sports Pub and is on Constitution Drive, next to the KMart plaza".
I'll make sure I piss on the dumpster next time I grace the neighborhood. I could not give a flying **** about Nick Cattles and his new england patriots. Hope he fails, loses his investment, and returns back to new england with his carpetbagging arse tail tucked squarely between his carpetbagging legs. Screw him and his lack of ODU committment.

So not really Town Center at all.
Hey, 700 yards makes a big difference:)

So if this is going where I think it is going (K-Mart shopping center on the corner away from VB Blvd.) that place will be closed in six months, one year tops. Nothing has lasted in that space very long going back as far as I can remember. At least he will have his vaunted radio empire to fall back on.

Figures. Whenever he tries to do his Colin Cowherd impression and talk business, he sounds like he dropped his Intro to Business course half way through the semester.
Starting your own sports bar is a bad idea. The failure rate on those places is huge. The only thing he has going for him is that he's on the radio and can advertise ad nausea.

Restaurants in general are a terrible investment. Add in a bad location and the likelihood of success declines even further. Good luck to him. He's going to need it.

I'm gonna guess the management will get sick and tired of him promoting his sports bar on air, they will not give him a new contract.
I never thought we could get anyone worse than Tony. I was wrong. At least Tony got A list guest interviews.
What I fail to understand is his lack of interest in ODU. ODU is the biggest sports program locally. We have a larger fan base than the Tides or Admirals. For a local show to ignore ODU makes no sense. Why listen to him when there are better national programs? I just don't get it.
