Wow, Miami must be a really hot ticket!!! Or it's probably that we're your guys' homecoming. Random fact: Miami is only one of three teams in FBS who are the home team's homecoming opponent for three games.
A couple years ago I bought my ticket directly from Ohio U for like $12 on a group pricing cost.

Back in the Mac days, I would travel to Kent and we could get into the game for a can of corn. Hell, we would walk down and stand on the sidelines and nobody would ever say a word to us. I'm sure that's changed though.

$1 beers have turned into a more modest $4 beer in recent years as well.

...LOL. Didn't matter if I recall. Regardless, those were some good times. 04-cheers

Looking forward to making the trip up this year. Going to check out the Rock and Roll hall of fame while I'm there.

Be sure to check out downtown Kent as it has become very nice with a lot of additions and changes. Place is unrecognizable to people that recently graduated so for you it should be very special.

Interesting you mention that. Back then Kent was the only place I recall that allowed you to walk into the stadium with an open container! $4 for a beer isn't bad considering I just payed a hair over $9 for a beer at a recent Cincinnati reds game.

That's one reason I hated our games at Soldier Field. They wanted $8.50 or so for a beer and it was freakin' Budweiser or Miller Lite. Even Ford Field provides good beer at that price - Sam Adams, Newcastle, etc.

Anyway, those tickets are cheap. NIU is up to $25 for the cheap seats.
Kent has bigger crowds than what it had back when Marshal was in the MAC but they are not large enough to demand high ticket prices yet.

Oddly I know a bunch of locals who are slightly upset at how "expensive" Kent State sports tickets are getting in football, basketball, and baseball. From an outside perspective that is ludicrous but to some locals those prices are much higher than they used to be.
those are decent prices, but some folks income hasn't gone up much over the years and the cost of beer, gen admission tix and such has gone up a lot.

Even just a few years ago GA season tickets were $30 for a six game series in Kent.
