Boom
The anti-UAB hacks are oddly quiet this morning...
My tweet:

"So tell that "no one cares" talking point and the minions dispatched to spread it to shut up." - What he said. https://t.co/7yVum2R4Zh
For some reason this doesn't sit well with me. It's almost as if they're softening the blow that's coming on Monday. Like those management techniques where you're supposed to praise an employee as much as possible before criticizing him. I sincerely hope I'm wrong, though.
Watts is done.
Not so sure about that.......what is he still doing here? 3 No-Confidence votes, proven liar, crooked administration, etc.

Watts likely sees restoring football and his resignation as one and the same.

Well, at that... The problem is, he won't admit it.

I told the nice lady who answers the phone in the president's office on November 30, if Watts announces he'd kill the football program, to go ahead and staple his resignation to it.

She said she's pass the word.

I'm sure that bringing back the football program will hasten his already likely demise. Watts is not long for the President's office at any rate, but probably not on the timeline everyone is hoping for.
Bringing back football is probably the one thing that would cause the BOT to finally throw him under the bus. Which is why I don't think he will. He didn't kill it on his own so he certainly can't bring it back without BOT permission, and does anyone think that is forthcoming?

At this point the media will eat him a live if he doesn't and the BOT will get him regardless because the lights are fully on them on this one. Essentially Ray has cost the University millions instead of saving millions. Hopefully he leaves with some dignity by restoring the programs but if he doesn't the greater the chance of total reform of the BOT.

Yeah, it was going to be bad for him and the administration no matter what happened. He's not going to be congratulated and applauded for using common sense and for being backed into doing the right thing. Yes or no, he was going to be on the hook for damaging the brand of the school and wasting millions of dollars and that's without mentioning the people his decisions impacted.

Dignity was something he threw away when he decided to be a lap dog for the board instead of living up to being the president of the most important school in the state. He just wants to avoid being humiliated. I really don't care how he goes as long as he reinstates those programs before he leaves.

Since the board are so satisfied with him, they should just put him at Alabama.
Ray Watts for President of the University of Alabama. Can we get bumper stickers?

Ray would be the perfect leader in Tuscaloosa to start the "Capstone College of Medicine". He's the lapdog with the credentials that the board wants. Everyone comes out smelling like a rose. The next UAB President, selected under heavy scrutiny by an independent committee, can restart Football.
