Huggins Signs First Recruit

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. (April 25, 2007)
Thomas breaks his leg after he gave his verbal to Ohio. He better happy sitting on the bench. He could have started day 1 in the MAC and become a star. Huggins steals his first player.

lmfao lmfao lmfao lmfao lmfao

Just when I was beginning to become wary of Huggins he comes along and totally redeems himself. With Airport KC coming around telling me how great Ohio and Miami are and how they should be in the Big East I can't help but laugh at this.

One of the freshman in our recruiting class had a Big East offer....and it wasn't just Will Thomas.
on scout i see Will Thomas being your only recruit for the 07 class, so I'm curious to see who this other recruit with a BE offer is...

i guess coverage must not be that great
We got a transfer two years ago from Boston College who was a total bust. Just because Big East or ACC teams land a kid doesn't mean he can play. The kid had great athletic ability but couldn't score, shoot, pass, dribble, play defense or rebound. He was very good about bitching about playing time and got thrown off Ohio's team . He's was MCDonald's All-American honorable mention and he averaged less than 3 ppg in the MAC.

Most people don't consider Providence a Big East team any more... they just get pounded every year. If you had gotten a player over UConn, Syracuse, Georgetown, UL, etc. etc., then maybe it would be impressive.

St. John's is about in the same boat... most of the old Catholic schools seem to have fallen on hard times (save Georgetown and Villanova).

Somone in Providence is putting some serious cash into the old Dunkin Donuts center. The facility will be improved enough to host NCAA tourney games now. That can't hurt when it comes to recruiting
