Notice c. Ryan still on the payroll

Great. I will be happy to fill out one of the University's official forms now. I hope the Football Foundation gets these new forms into the hands of every single person who has pledged so far.

The Football Foundation form already had a disclaimer on it, which I signed in good faith and still have faith in it. I havent seen one from the University.
They are lying sacks of 01-scout They knew damn good and well the concerns.
They're scrambling to keep the story under control.
That's right. And after tonight, this whole debacle will be an afterthought because #freeuab will win the day. It also goes to show that the number of fast ones the Watzis can pull these days are very limited.

Be at Bartow Arena. Less than 2 hours to go!

(As an aside, I'm hoping this means that all of the funds we've donated to the FF can now be turned over in one lump sum without fear of being funneled into Kahn's cheeks).

Right, but UAB's complaint was that those were not donations pledged to the university, and that they couldn't count on them. On the flip side, no one wanted to donate to UAB if there was a chance the money could be redirected to anything other than football.

Now, those problems are gone. We can donate directly to UAB, if that's what they say it's going to take, and we don't have to worry about them changing the criteria for football coming back and then using that money for a new golf ball washer at the Woodward Estate.

I can't donate directly to UAB because literally everything I can spare went to the Football Foundation, haha. That "haha" was nervous laughter.

I'm hoping both sides will come together, shake hands, everyone's money is great, and all will be right with the world. Is this likely?

Well I would hope that part of this process will be to clarify if UAB will accept the Football Foundation money as a real pledge, and if not, I hope that everyone would move over to the UAB process, if that's the only way that UAB will accept the pledges.
It really does seem like Watts and Co. are starting to take their foot of the brakes. We keep pushing and pushing and they can feel the economic and social impact. Imagine if this happened 10 years ago. Social media has been a HUGE part of this battle. I doubt we would have gotten anywhere then.

At the baseball game Tuesday, he looked beaten down psychologically. He really did. And his wife did too. That means, keep the foot on the gas until he breaks!!!
I like when he said that "see what happens when we communicate". It wouldn't have been a problem if they communicated as the lack of communication always seems to be on their end & they only communicate when caught in a bold faced lie or backed into some corner

Good. Because we're going to have to break him. And lest anyone have the slightest impulse to ease up on the fat little pumpkinheaded bastard, watch this again:

My rage is undiminished.
Guys, the forms from the FF are ok. There is a glitch in the wording of the UAB form with the football disclaimer. Don't sign those yet. It may not be an attempt to weasel word, but let's wait until the wording is vetted closely. I suspect it will be cleaned up, all it needs is a word or two altered for safety..
After the meeting I handed my Football Foundation pledge to AB.
Clarification of what i said above, lifted from another thread.

This isn't exactly true.

The first part he was reading from the official UAB pledge form.

What the pledge form actually says is:

"...pledges will go toward supporting the athletic department and specifically football, bowling, and rifle."

That is a very tricky and.

It needs to make it explicit that if the programs aren't reinstated, that the pledge is null and void.
And in case you need another indication of how it really is going to go, Wes said that the list of alumni emails was privileged and could not be given out and made it seem like it will be a tall task to send even just an email out to alumni asking for support. He is wrong, there is no reason UAB couldn't send an email to every single student and alumni on behalf of the ATF if they wanted to. He's yet again playing games.

That was a fun little exchange, proving yet again the moral bankruptcy of Wes Smith: UAB sells that list. I get all sorts of crap based on it all the time as do all of you: credit card offers, mostly, but other **** too.

So the Foundation uses a marketing firm as a shell and buys it (probably less than a dime a name). It's a ridiculous hoop but easily jumpable.

And no, Wes' green shirt did nothing to change my opinion of him.
Does anyone have the University's Pledge Form? I'm going to ask my business to match my pledge but they're picky about who they give to and I think they might me more likely to give to the University vs the Football Foundation (Tax Deductions). I know it's all going to go to UAB but I think they would be more likely to fill out on the "official" form. Thanks!
The pledge forms will be turned into official university gift agreements.
