Now that would be a slap in the face if he goes to the Gutterhogs. I'll take back every nice thing I ever said about James White if he were to do that. Still think he has too much class to go to Fayettenam.
You'll soon be saying "James who?" when we see the new players coming soon.....!!!! 05-nono

You are getting us fans pretty excited. We have lost a couple of players (the James boys) that most of us thought were pretty talented. If we are getting better players, this late in the recruiting season, that will say a lot for the future of our program under Coach Beard. While, many believed our previous staff was lacking in recruiting, the fact that we have had 2 players transfer to the Mountain West (Gillon and Reid) and another player who apparently has a bunch of high majors chasing him suggests we were doing fairly well. I think Josh and Mareik could have gone high major, at this point, if they wanted to. The future looks really bright. Hope you can give us some actual names pretty soon.
Inside, you were obviously pretty perceptive with regard to James White's body language at the press conference announcing Coach Beard. Maybe you should have been a psychologist. Still rumors that he needs to pass more hours to graduate, could make things interesting.
I really don't see James W being able to play for Coach Anderson. James had a problem here with stamina. I do not root against the hogs it just I don't watch many of their basketball games on TV but if he is playing for them I will watch more of their games.

I'm looking for us to bring in an overseas Big man.

From rumors, I have heard, I think you may be right.

Rumors, they don't mean much to me. First I want to see it on paper(if the Democrap reports it), then I want to see how good they are in action. I do believe that there are a lot of good players overseas, and I wouldn't mind getting some of them. Our volleyball team has thrived on foreign players, and evidently damn good ones.

Some of the stuff on the private board is likely more than just rumors, since it is being provided by reliable sources. Of course, like you said, we won't know how good any new player is until we see them on the court in a real Division I game situation.

Man that kid could not leave the room quick enough.
I am not close at all with the ball players. All I know is what I read on this Board. But, with graduation in doubt, is it possible that this James White could have gotten the message that he would be encouraged to move on? Just a thought.
I would bet that's what happened.
No way you run off a all SBC 1st type player.
Don't disagree with that. But, I'm just saying, sometimes we can say things in such a way that it leaves us no choice but to move on. Doesn't really matter what it's all about. It is sometimes called "Burning Bridges". Sometimes we can't turn around and go back. In this situation I certainly don't know the details. But with graduation this summer not assured, why announce that you are transferring to another D-1 school??? Just asking.

I agree with you statements 100%. I predicted several weeks ago that Coach Beard was not the type of coach who was simply going to "sit around and wait" to see if James graduated. He was going to want an answer from James right away with regard to his plans, so he could replace him if he was going to leave. James gave him his answer and both parties are moving on. Coach Beard will bring in some "bigs" to replace James. Will they be as good as James? Who knows, but that's not the issue. The inmates won't run the institution while Coach Beard is in charge.
