One in Austin, one in Orlando, and the other one will be in Tucson. No MAC tie-in, though of course the conferences involved might not have enough bowl-eligible teams. Then the MAC could be involved.

And on a related topic, of course it's never too soon for bowl projections. 01-wingedeagle

Even so, the ESPN college football writers released projections yesterday (May 5th). One has the Rockets going to Boca Raton, the other to the Bahamas.

Lots of terrible teams get into bowl games now, just think how bad you'll have to be to NOT get into a bowl game starting next year and going forward.

I agree. The bowl game situation has become crazy. Its all about the money. Certainly not about the competition.

I want 3 MAC teams bowling and 25 bowls outside of playoffs. That means 3 teams in NCAA top 60.

+1

Don't get me wrong, I love being able to watch more football but 42 bowl games is ridiculous. 82 out of 127 teams now go bowling, that's 64%! IMO, it's not really all that great of an accomplishment making a bowl game anymore, which is a shame.

I like this idea. 3 MAC teams and 25 bowls would be ideal and much more rewarding.
PAC-12 and Mountain West Conferences are discussing the possibility of a bowl in Australia starting in 2016.

If the Rockets do end up in Boca Raton for a bowl game, here's a link to a story on the MAC site with some information that might be useful.

And here's a link to a story with info about a trip to Boise. If the Rockets are going out there in December and you want to go too.

I know it's early, but the conference is getting these details out there.
