With all the economic and reputational advantages enjoyed by nearby SEC schools, how can ZERO Vols be drafted? Memphis have as many or more draft picks than many SEC teams? The utenn program was disrupted, so was ours.

utenn had multiple high-rated recruiting classes and Fuente's get no rating love.

Yet, Fuente took UCLA, Ole Miss, and BYU to the wire and won one of the 3. In year 3 when the program was devastatingly depleted.

Opponents fear the organized and well-coached real TALENT that Fuente brings to the field.

Fuente is the REAL DEAL, a real chip off the Gary Patterson block, the block that beat Ole Miss 42-3.

If I bet, I'd be putting big money on the Tigers on Oct 17.
There's the bobster! What's up, amigo? And I'm hoping you're right about Oct. 17th, when you look at loser SEC teams like the Black Bears and That Crappy Orange Team to the East, never have so few done so little with so much.
classic
For the vols, Youth plays a role. Coaching and Player turnovers play a role. Losing plays a role.
So i post the same thing last night and all i get is ******* remarks. And this post is a classic?

And here I thought my response was the classic part.
4 coaching changes in 5 years decimated their roster. And they had an NFL caliber linebacker this year who went and raped somebody, effectively ending his pro career before it began.
what about ole miss?
i thought their roster was supposedly loaded with nfl prospects.
And imho, as a spectator, i thought they did look like a team with talent and speed at many positions especially defense

Most of the NFL caliber guys were underclassmen - will all be there next year barring injury. Expected to have 3 Top 10 picks. Potentially 4-5 in the first round or so.

I was a bit surprised Cody Prewitt went undrafted...he's a linebacker playing safety so that's why he dropped I'm guessing.
State had 5 players drafted.

Two words for the Vols: Derrick Dooley. When you get a terrible coach bad things seem to happen.

Just making sure things are correct, because that thread title and what the OP implies is completely wrong.

Two words for the Tigers: Larry Porter. When you a worse than terrible coach, bad things seem to happen (plus no SEC money).
