@deion_hallmon I will be transferring from NIU..Coach Carey wants me to transfer, so I will honor his wishes. I wish NIU the best.@HuskieWire @espn
uh...
It's pretty weak to blame everything on Coach Carey if you ask me.
I was on the hype train when he signed with NIU. It’s unfortunate he never saw the field for the Huskies.

HYPE is right. My gosh, his tape never matched the HYPE. No one wants to listen to a whiner, go ***** somewhere else Deion.
I wish him the best. I will continue to follow him to see how he fares at the college level. I have nothing negative to say. He wished the Huskies the best, so obviously he isn't bitter. I think he would qualify for the "run off waiver". Moving forward, Lets' win a Bowl game dammit!!! Go Huskies!!!
lol he tweeted at ESPN.

....and Huskiewire, the other Worldwide Leader in Sports.

Funny stuff
I'm a little concerned about the FL pipeline with these transfers. Not a good look.

Ezra Saffold, Christian Blake, Albert Smalls, Shawun Lurry, Renard Cheren and Bobby Jones would say otherwise. Don't worry about it.

We have enough Florida success stories. I'm sure the true story will get down to the FL high schools. Just have to assume that Carey and co made the right call if they pushed them out

Smalls, Blake, Lurry, Saffold, Jones IV seem to be ok. I think it's more important to not take a chance on a kid just because he's from Fl. I knew Hallmon would be a bust...he was a huge flake in the recruiting process.
Neither him or Senior pan out IMO.

Gotta have heart and work ethic, and from the looks of it, neither of them had that. Utah State is a good program and pushes their guys much like NIU. I don't anticipate senior to flip the switch. We shall see where Hallmon goes.

Or I could be wrong and this was the reality check they needed.

I wish both of them well, but don't anticipate hearing much about them. The fact he tweeted ESPN was hilarious though.
Did anyone see the original post in this thread about Hallmon and Carey ? Looks like it was deleted.

It's in the "Friday night practice notes" thread.

ESPN will be next....

ESPN is not going to care about a kid transferring from a MAC school without ever having seen the field. The buzz surrounding this kid from a year ago is long gone and it's doubtful he'll ever recover it.
Every recruiting class has guys who don't pan out for a variety of reasons. It happens. I wish them the best.

By the way I think Scott Taylor is transferring to EIU.

This man just said I was only a step down from ESPN. I've made it!
