Only posting the current top 8. Anyone outside the current top 8 is Virtually out as it seems.

Games left for top 8

1) GSU (13-6) (26-18) vs Texas State, @Troy, Vs GA Southern

2) Ga Southern (16-8) (26-18) vs USA, @GSU

3) USA (14-7) (29-16) @Ga Southern, @Cajuns, vs Troy

4) Cajuns (13-7) (28-15) @App st, vs USA, @ULM

5) Troy (13-8) (25-20) @ULM, vs GSU, @USA

6) UALR (10-10) (14-24) @UTA, vs ULM, @ Ark State

7) Texas State (10-11) (18-24-1) @GSU, vs Ark State, Vs UTA

8) ULM (8-13) (21-23) vs Troy, @UALR, Vs Cajuns
Liberty.
7 of those 8 teams (all except Ga. Southern) have 9 games left. Ga. Southern only has 6 conference games left. Not sure if that is an advantage or not.

Could be except you play current #1 and #3
Cajuns have #11, #8 and #3 at home left on schedule

I think they may have the easiest road IMO
I think any of the top 5 teams you listed (Ga. State, Louisiana, Ga. Southern, Troy and South Alabama) could win the tourney. We (Ga. Southern) have been pretty consistent in taking 2 of 3 in almost every series and swept 2 series (App and UALR). We are 6-2 in the 8 series we have played so far with losses to Troy (lost 2 of 3) and Texas St. (lost 2 of 3).
We are the same as you.

Troy is 6-2 in SBC series and swept 2 (Texas State and Ark State)
I'm going to go out on a limb and guess not US. . . .

. . . I remember when we used to play baseball . . . . 03-weeping
I'd just like to make the tournament. If Texas State, UTA, or ULM ever felt a wonderful time to start a nice long losing streak, now would be an awesome time to do so...
Winner of the series in the Boro next weekend wins the Belt.

We've just lost 9 of our last 11. . . . . Ain't that enough?
Winner of Georgia Southern @ USA series takes the RS.
Cajuns win the tournament. Neither Georgia Southern nor USA has the pitching depth to win the tournament.

USA has pitching depth.
USA @ Louisiana will decide the regular season championship with home field advantage being the key factor. Louisiana claims back-to-back championships.

Maybe home field will help, but USA is 19-18 all-time in regular season games against the Cajuns in Lafayette. It'll probably be a close series. It does look like Louisiana Lafayette is starting to find its groove (I don't want to say they're peaking because I don't think they are peaking yet), so it will be a challenge for USA to win that series for sure. I think the regular season winner could come from this series as well.
@TroyTrojansBSB: Troy is 13-8 in conference play with three SBC series remaining, same as 2013 when team won regular season league title.

We are starting to peak at a good time as well

** fun fact... We return most the entire team next year.05-stirthepot

Funner fact, so does UL. Including their 3 true freshman starting pitchers.

Even better when we spank that A**
Of the top teams, I think the Cajuns have the easiest route. We get the best remaining team at home, and our road series are very winnable.
Looking at it objectively, it's hard to argue otherwise.
I don't think the GS-USA series will be for the regular season crown. USA-UL on the next weekend has the chance to be, whenever you look at the fact that we're going to App this weekend.
Of course I would like for Ga. Southern to win it but for that to happen in the tourney we cannot fall quickly into the loser's bracket. We just don't have enough pitchers to get it done if we are having to play lots of games.

It is been a strange season for GS. On the midweek we have been nothing short of pitiful with something like a 2-11 record. On the weekends we have been very consistent in usually winning 2 of 3 with an occasional sweep.

Right now if I were to rank teams in terms of me thinking they could win the tourney I would go:
1. South Alabama
2. Louisiana
3. Troy and Ga. Southern (tie)
4. Ga. State
