I agree with you.
I would argue that the OSKR report (and the football issue in general) isn't detracting, but it is instead piling-on, the issue of corruption. I agree that "Thesis media" is our best documented example to-date of cold hard cash-money corruption, but OSKR is verifying that our initial anger at the BoT wasn't misguided, and we should keep digging (on ALL fronts).
I agree with your point. Just remember though that people living half way across the country care more about football than a employee getting money unethically. Football is just the platform to get national attention. True UAB people know there are tons of other issues. Just use whatever we can to get more and more people digging those things up. For example I imagine if football wasn't cut Theresa Bruno would still be getting paid by UAB and most of us would be totally unaware.

Agreed. As Kris Findley our leader for the effort in Montgomery is fond of saying, "It certainly isn't only about football, but football is what gets people's attention in this part of the country."
Y'all I agree with you about football drawing attention to the board, but periodically we have to remind folks its about corruption even more than football

One line that I probably buried is that the unelected BOT controls more money than the general fund of the state. If you take the state's total revenue, the UASBOT controls about 20% of the total. I think that's a point we need to keep hammering home
