Out of 100 schools listed, NIU listed at #80. No other MAC school. 02-13-banana

Rankings are based on fan base, quality bowl appearances, and strong NFL alumni presence.

They have Mount Union at #25.
As soon as I saw Illinois at #28 I stopped reading.

It's D2 -- not even D1AA. So they get a Zero for bowl appearances. They've been playoff contenders over the years, but not so much recently. They're a Top 25 D2 school, with a lot of school spirit, sure. Nothing groundbreaking though. I've been to a game -- looks like a glorified high school stadium... holds up to 10k fans. Just because you're D2 and a upper-tier school that can beat EMU in attendance -- shouldn't make you in the Top 50 programs in the country -- Sorry.

Mount Union? Oh boy. Now that's a legit #25! 03-wink

I stopped reading the damn list after I realized that they excluded the Bemidgi State Beavers. That did it for me.

P.S. I heard they enjoy shooting beavers in northern Minnesota.
