Just thought I'd show my enthusiasm. I've been pondering whether or not work would let me go to the big game, or if I'd have to sell my tickets, but I just received notice that I'll be off!!!! Yeeeehaaah! I think the best part of it all is going to be socializing with all the fans of both teams. I'm not so sure my friends will be able to go, so I'm gonna make the most of my trip. I'm also gonna be stayin the night there.... if you know what I mean. 03-wink
Heaven, here I come!

I hope your car doesn't have anything "LSU" on it. 03-lol
Wouldn't make much difference- it's a piece anyway! :D
It'd also give me a good reason to not be able to get home. I can see myself faking a complaint to my boss; "My car got trashed!!! I'll be back later today... maybe."
As a matter of fact, maybe I should come in an all-out LSU car! 03-lol
What is the BEST place to eat in Oxford? I'm gonna chow down like an ANIMAL after the game, and an $$$ restaurant is fine.
City Grocery
Oxford American Steakhouse
Legends Bar & Grill
Downtown Grill
Hog Wild BBQ
Duffy's Bar & Grill
Abbeville Catfish (a little bit of a drive)
Cafe New Orleans
Blind Jims
Applebees
Chili's
El Charro(I believe)
...and Abner's (chicken) for the game.

There may be more, someone here could probably tell you better than me. I know there is a good Italian joint, too, but I can't think of the name.

Oh, my dear, have you ever been to Oxford and tried to eat in a restaurant after a "regular" game? 03-lol And this won't be any "regular" game. (I'm still dying to find out what "regular" pants are, a la LSUjoe/moe.)

What do you think, Rx? At least a two-hour wait? I should let you have this one.
It doesn't matter to me, as long as I get a good meal.

Try one of these.
I wouldn't be surprised if the wait was at least 2 1/2 hours or more. Anything on the Square will be absolutely hellacious to get into on Friday and Saturday.

Also, fyi, Abbeville Catfish is no longer. They have closed shop and are only catering now.

But, for on the Square, you left off a few places

Blue Marlin
Old Venice
Oxford Steak Company
Ajax
Rib Cage
Proud Larrys
I've read a few positive posts commenting Ajax- it's said Eli enjoys eating there? He must have good taste, so I may go with that.
Thanks for the help!
