Watts will reject the report but that is ok. He will be finally exposed when he does and it will give the BOT their out to pay him off and send him on his way. Then round two begins.
Do you really think the CSS report will be favorable to the FreeUAB cause??

I expect it to be more favorable than Carr but still negative enough for Watts to embrace.

That's exactly what I expect to happen.
Whatever it says will not be enough. This was a stall tactic from the start, and if CUSA does not give us the extra year, well, that's so much the better from Watts' standpoint. OTOH, if he denies the report and we get booted, any vestige of restrain and civility goes out the window.
The article asks if being a less than perfect geographical fit in the MVC outweighs joining the the Atlantic Sun or Sunbelt??...seriously?...those conferences are FILLED with teams looking to bolt...
I expect it to be very favorable now that I have done some digging. This will be the most scrutinized report in the history of college athletics. That said it won't mater if it said we lost one dollar or made a million. Watts will reject it's findings citing that he does not agree with the numbers and assumptions. They will make the bar as high as high as they can. Watts will go down with the ship and be paid to keep his mouth shut.

For football to return Watts must be gone. period. He is not reinstating it without an order from the Governor or Bryant. (Yes I know Bryant owns Mr. Burns)

I make it a point to expect the worse and hope for the best, but I have to agree with you one hundred percent that it'd be one of the most scrutinized reports in college athletics.

The contents of that report will be vital to every single program out there that isn't rolling in the money they generate. This isn't the time for silly rounding errors or false correlations. There are people of all sorts waiting for this review to determine the course of their respective athletic departments.

That said, I think the honest to God truth is that there is just too much money in college football to willingly opt out.

Yep. I decided long ago that watts wasn't ever going to consider football returning.
I know he has not. I have seen the communications. ;-) Let me be clear. Unless he is told to restore it by Jr and Fess he will quit before he lets football return. Either way Watts will not be President this time next year.
I hope you're right, I don't want him to last that long, he needs to be gone before the year is out and whatever we can do collectively to accelerate his departure, we should take into dtrng consideration, we know the board is stonewalling for him for now, but will serve him up if and when he's no longer useful to them or the pressure becomes unbearable on campus. I'd settle for the latter.
