Jon Soloman updated his Monday story to include the names of the CSS team members that will be working on the UAB review.

"Smith identified six people associated with CSS who will work on the UAB study: CSS president and former San Diego athletic director Jeff Schemmel; former Ohio State/Oregon/Minnesota AD Rick Bay; former New Mexico/Houston AD Rudy Davalos; former Washington State/Arizona/UNLV AD Jim Livengood; former Collegiate Consulting chief operating officer Heather Ould; and sports business reporter Kristi Dosh."

Kristi Dosh has also written an article critical of the Carr report and tweeted in February that she predicated UAB football would return in 2016.

Way too subtle for this crowd (which was probably your point)

Ya know, it's possible to be secretly shallow instead of blabbing your prejudices to the internet.
What's hot about Kristi is that she used to be the business of sports reporter for ESPN. She wrote "Saturday Millionaires" which is about the value of sports teams to schools in terms other than straight dollars and cents.

I'm very happy to see her on the list.

I think it went over your head, champ.

I guess so...
Is Schemmel the one who was Carr's college roommate?

No, that was Richard Giannini. Schemmel is legitimate, and probably knew Coach Bartow.

Ok thanks. Still, Giannini works for the firm so I don't expect good things.
There are several good folks at CSS. Hopefully, they will do us right.

Caused we're gonna get @#^&!%!!!!!
Schemmel has some experience (ehem, not work related) in Alabama:

Quote:Schemmel “disappointed (SDSU)” with actions that included the “improper use of state funds.”

Schemmel traveled to Alabama in January (2009) to have a tryst with a woman and didn’t have university business there, the woman testified under oath in a deposition this year.

Bartow went into SDSU as interim AD to clean up the mess left by Schemmel in 2009... I'm not so sure Bartow developed a deep friendship with Schemmel.
Barstow was interim director at SDSU in 2003, cleaning up after another AD. Schemmell resigned in 2009, and followed Bartow and Bartow's successor.
The report needs to include the fact that UAB football can't succeed with major boosters for Alabama on the Board of Trustees. It also needs to include the need for an OCS.
