#60 Tulane isn't far behind 04-rock
Closing in on #3 conference (although we could also finish as low as 6).
#3 should guarantee that all of our bubble teams get the call come tourney time.

We as a conference and ECU have an ACE up our sleeve, Gary Overton. Former Baseball HC at ECU and current Assoc. AD. He is the President of the NCAA rules committee for baseball and the President of the selection Committee.
And just like that, AAC is back down to #5. But we're still right on the tail of #3.

I don't recognize the name - when was he ECU's coach? Prior to C-USA?

Yes, 1985-1997, longest serving baseball HC in ECU history, 13 seasons. Record of 427-237-1 .643, 3 conference titles, 5 conference tournament titles, 5 regionals. He is played his college career at ECU.
ECU probably slipped in the tournament and prolonged BGs tenure because of Overton.

ECU should continue to climb, so if our top 7 could all finish in the top 65 or so, that would be really impressive.

That's an incredible feat for an 8 team conference.
Looks like a bunch of average teams gaming the RPI system because of the small conference. Sort of like big 12 in basketball this year.
We still have UNCW, Duke, NC State, and Elon OOC

or like big east football did throughout its entire existence.

It's exactly what AAC basketball needs to do. We need to game the system in the money sports in order to get ahead. It's really ugly, but the system isn't pretty either.
We all still have alot of intra league play left which will knock out 2-3. Id be thrilled if we got 4-5 in...and USF is one of them.
I wonder if getting 7 teams in is possible but most likely 5,
