Josh earlier this evening. Players expect to meet with Coach Beard after the press conference. There is always some turnover, but I hope he convinces most to stay. Coach Beard needs to sort this out quickly since he needs to know how many kids he needs to sign.

OK, for starters:

1) How many available scholarships do we have assuming no one leaves?

2) How many players were signed early in November in this recruiting class that might be able to be released due to the coaching change?

3) How many of our players have little or no options to leave due to previous redshirts, JUCOS, etc.?
I spoke to Mareik earlier, ???

Do you think he is gone if he is able to graduate?

Depends on how good he thinks he is. If he has options, ie- offers, maybe. We'll see. Impossible to figure how guys that age think.
He most definitely have offers, some really good ones at that. Just have to wait and see !!

I would assume if he likes the new coach, he will likely stay. If he doesn't, he should do what is best for him.
I'll root for the players we have. As someone has said, if someone leaves because he doesn't want to be here, more power to him. But I'm only concerned with the ones that stay. The program will survive with whomever stays or doesn't.
Big school shows up and offers to fill a hole. Kid goes to big school and plays 40 minutes in a year and gets recruited over the next.

If you have ever watched hoop dreams the cba coach in the try out says, " an nba player would stand out like a sore thumb and just dominate and no one here is doing that."

Same thing goes on any mid major team, if you don't dominate at this level of d1 the odds are against you at the bcs level.
