I am a very good friend of Torrey's wife and they have just been informed of his death. It's being reported nationally but not all of the names of the dead has been released yet.
I know I speak for all the UAB Family our hearts and prayers goes out to his family.

His family was notified about an hour or so ago. The plane was returning from the NCG last night. There were 4 other people on board as well.
This is really devastating news. I am a close friend of the family. My thoughts and prayers are definitely with his family and loved ones at this time.

My dad just called me at work and told me the bad news. T. Ward was my AAU teammate for 4 years. Really good friend of mine. I'm going to miss him deeply. My prayers go out to his family.
Preliminary reports suggest fog had something to do with the plane crash.
