What is the first sign of insanity? You should know MJS! It's doing something over and over and thinking you will get a different result. Please let Chasse not fall into the former NBA player with no college coaching experience trap.

This hire, and the results are too important to screw this up with some experiemental hire of Darrel Walker to see what happens. Unless Walker comes with a huge infusion of cash from whomever these big backers you keep referring to, his hire would be an incredibly dumb move given the experiences we have had right here in our little backwater state with the same thing.

We've never had the opportunity to hire an ex-NBA coach. It is a pretty unique opportunity for a midmajor college. There is no guarantee that anyone we hire will be successful. I lean toward Beard, at the moment, but I'll let Chasse (with the help of the others on the committee) decide what would be best for the program at this point in time.

Avery Johnson was a successful NBA Coach who took his team to the NBA Finals.
Darrell Walker is not.

Chris Mullin is a former NBA Legend who was fairly successful at Golden State, and he is returning to coach at his Alma Mater.

Darrell was a care taker coach and this would be a bad move imo
