Bball season is drawing to a close and C-USA meetings are coming up in June. The ATF has been mute since it had its legs cut out from underneath them by Watts. No word or rumors on google, twitter, or the like. Anyone heard anything?
I asked the same thing earlier in the week and heard nothing. Frustrating.
I would imagine that most of us are just keeping our fingers crossed that C-USA may let UAB stay for at least one more year. No conference is likely to invite UAB until the present conference situation is resolved one way or the other. If the "divorce" is final on 6/30/15, we may hear some overtures after that, but we can only "sit by the phone" and hope for the best since so much of this is out of our hands.

We can't make C-USA keep us and we can't make any other one invite us. Do we have "a date for the prom" or not?
The lack of discussion from the ATF is demoralizing. And the task force members themselves should know this.
It's pretty much known to anyone not intent on posting the same thing over and over that we are staying one more year.

I guess we must have missed that announcement from C-USA HQ.
Can we GOOGLE that?
You can google Banowski's statement
Or you can just figure that since everybody keeps asking the same questions over and over that no one knows the answers yet.

Just this year. Nowhere does it say "UAB can stay in C-USA as a nonfootball member." Google it
No where does it say UAB has been in official or unofficial talks with any other conference. Google if
See above.

We can always go back to discussing The University of Alabama on the UAB board. At least this is Blazer related.
Sure. All I'm saying is that the only people who know anything ain't talking. That leaves a bunch of us message board yahoos to wrangle over what we think is going to happen or what we think should happen. The last substantial thread like that wound up on the smack board. I'm not telling you to shut up or trying to squelch the discussion. I'm just saying that we're all interested and waiting for those answers - and don't have them.
