2015 had better be a heydey for this conference OOC (especially if anyone dreams of a Marshall 2014 run) because the 2016 OOC are brutal...

UNCC (@Louisville, Elon, EMU, @Temple)
FIU (Indiana, Maryland [nice job scheduling both at home], UCF (TBD))
FAU (@Kansas St, Ball St, @Miami Fla)
ODU (@App St, @NC State, UMASS) all driveable with a home FCS
Marshall (Akron, Louisville, @Pittsburgh)
MTSU (@Vandy, @Bowling Green)
WKU (Houston Baptist [nice], @Alabama, @Miami OH, Vanderbilt)

IMO, good job MTSU so far

LaTech (@Arkansas, @Texas A&M, Mississippi State) ???
Rice (@Stanford, @Army, Baylor)
North Texas (SMU, @Florida, @Army, Liberty (TBD)
Southern Miss (Austin Peay, Troy, @LSU, @BYU)
UTEP (@Texas, Army, Houston Baptist (TBD), New Mexico State (TBD))
UTSA (@Colorado State, Arizona State, @Texas A&M)

IMO the 'best chance for 4-0' might be UTEP

I think too many ADs are under the pressure to get a paycheck, not allowing too many teams to run the table to get to 'the best of G5'. The short term $ may be expensive down the road.

Stanford is a home and home, and Baylor was a 2 and 2 deal.
those are great deals especially if you get a regional FCS at home too; but 3 SEC teams in one year or A&M, ArizSt AND ColoSt (too soon to tell) might be counterproductive

will stanford be at your home stadium or reliant?

I'm obviously a bit biased, but I feel the best bets for CUSA programs going 4-0 with these schedules are 1) Old Dominion, 2) Middle Tennessee, and 3) Marshall.

UTEP has a game @ Texas. Old Dominion has a game @ NC State. MT has a game @ Vanderbilt. Marshall has a home game vs Louisville and a game @ Pitt. Those are all much easier slates than any OOC that includes playing @ Texas IMO.

Planned for Historic Rice Stadium, post end zone facility upgrade, on September 2, 2017. Rice also hosted UCLA at Historic Rice Stadium in 2012.
UTSA plays a crazy OOC schedule, but I love that we get big games at home. That Arizona state game is a 1 for 1.

excellent
UTSA has some nice P5 visiting San Antonio the next few years. Kansas St-Arizona St-Baylor

IMO if you win one of those games it puts your school on the map.

It's tough playing P5 schools but even tougher on the road. Get them to play a game at your place and you have a fighting chance. Que up the 26-23 loss to Arizona in the Dome.
First FCS game for wku in 4or 5 years.

We had A. Peay on the schedule 3 years ago and Morgan St 2 years ago (had to schedule a replacement game with MUTS and FIU leaving the SBC) when we had 5 ooc games

Anyone have the OOC winning % for each school over the last 3 years?

I will start it with the best winning %

WKU
3-1 WIN OVER sec, cusa, fcs, loss @ Bama
4-1 win over SEC, Navy, Army, fcs loss @ UT
3-1 WIN over Mac (preseason #1 BG), Navy, Army loss @ Ill

10-3 77%

I will go ahead and do 2015
3-1 win over SEC, Big10, Mac, loss @LSU

Marshall 2012-FCS, MAC, WVU, Purdue 2-2
2013-FCS 2MAC, Va Tech 2-2
2014-FCS 3MAC 4-0

3 yr total 8-4 66.6%

Projected 2015: Purdue, FCS, 2MAC 4-0
2012 Marshall was 1-3 with FCS the only win

58%

NC State comes to Norfolk this year. Only OOC away game we play is @EMU the season opener and I highly doubt that 4-0 with ODU you know breaking a new QB and hitting the ground running are never easy. My optimistic prediction for our OOC is 3-1 and if we don't break even I will be disappointed

Well it's a matter of perspective because back in the Sun Belt days we played 2 or 3 away 'body-bags' a year with no expectation of a return visit. Other than maybe La Tech every other school you listed has a very respectable schedule going for them in 2016 (even FAU as the UM game is the return of a H/H).

So again, a little perspective on where we have come from may suit you better.
You're all fools if y'all don't think FIU has the best OOC schedule in 2016. Clearly showing the anti-FIU bias on this board. Don't get me wrong, I think they suck at life. But God, at least be honest with yourselves.

come on now...you know this is now a suckfest of the appendages of the wky/herd group...best 3 teams in history...all the rest just suck...
I wasn't trying to find the 'best' schedule, I was trying to point out that most schools have chosen or had return dates that fall in 2016, that may exempt those schools from getting to the G5 slot in the playoffs...the notion of 'best' varies by schools' needs/expectations/preferences...not an indictment of any team...FIU may get UCF home as well as Maryland and Indiana (the Panthers are in Orlando in '15 and '17), two Big 10s and an AAC at home is good and may well fall in the vision of FIU; however, that is daunting for a G5 access slot. Financially three big names and the 4 conference homegames should give FIU a nice budget bump that year.

Yea, I'd expect 2-2 or 3-1 if I were an ODU fan. I'm just saying out of all of the OOC schedules, Old Dominion might have the smoothest road of all of us.
Home vs louisville and pitt on the road are not going to be that tough. We have beaten Louisville 5 straight and all in bowls or on the road (including bridgewaters louisville at their place). Not scared of Louisville at home. Pitt has ducked recently as well. My only concern for those games is we lose our stud RB core next season and much of our defense and oline.
