Who Wins? Who has the answer to Chicago's financial problems? The answer: there is NO easy answer.....pension funding is an absolute mess. Do you cut pension benefits? Do you raise property taxes? neither one is a welcome solution to the voting public. The city and the state face a massive problem, most of it created during the Daley administration.
Same guys different names, the dems control and have for 100 years. Who wants change?

Only a simpleton would think this way. Its not based on reality. Same uneducated folks that think this way, ironically, probably call Speaker Boehner a RINO.
Rahm is in the same party as Madigan. Not Democrats, Power Mongers. They have their own system.

Thats rich especially coming from you.

Dems cant expalin the poor schools or high murder rate of their children Fact is dems don/t care. Surprised they even go thru the motion of protesting the killing .How many times do we witness the senseless murders and the accompaning protests on TV and then neighbors and people vote the same way. Chicago dems are like the Kremlin, one party. Not exactly a hot bed of openness and change.
When Rahm wins is it a slap in teachers union face since they are backing Garcia. Neither can or will make the tough choices so its same old same old. Taxes increase services decrease schools get worse and more people lwave the city

I'm sorry. I was a dick. I had a couple beers...

But I still disagree, of course. Neither party is homogenous. In a two party system is just not possible. This election is a great example of this.

First of all, Hispanic is not a race, secondly I was referring to Chewbaka the Star Wars Character, a fictional being.

Now that the income tax has been rolled back it is one of the lower individual income tax rates in the country. At least Illinois provides halfway decent expressways during more of the year and a network of value priced community colleges where a HS grad can begin their education and have a chance to graduate without student loans.

Indiana, no on both counts.

And, last month, the legislature, plus the governor, swept $50 million out of the Motor Fuel Tax fund to cover general fund shortages. That certainly sounds sustainable.

The only way to fix this thing is to cut spending.

Are you saying that Illinois has the highest sales tax rate in the country?
who has higher sales tax? Only thing I could find is Birmingham at .5% higher.

The city of Chicago is and has been turning into an epic dump. Anyone who says otherwise either does not live here or has never lived here.

Parking on the streets - sure I do it all the time. .... You did it again? Whats that? You sold the parking on the streets to another Wall St Group? How? .....don't know just did it. ......OK - stupid you have to leave the room, we will call it retirement.
