Barnes will get way better offers. He has one of the best resumes in coaching. Won't be surprises if Tennessee interviews him.

Or he and Shacka Smart can just make "Trading Places 2".
UTSA just needs to fire their current coach.
UTSA needs to invest in their basketball program. I'm not sure a new coach will do much better with their current facilities. Rice invested in their facilities and then got a quality coach.
Laughable, Rick Barnes will probably end up at UT....Not sure why anyone would want him, the guy cannot coach with good talent...
Delusions of grandeur.
I thought UTSA played very well down the stretch.

He can keep his UT gear and orange ties
If there was ever a poster child coach for getting the least results with the most resources - It would be Rick Barnes. The ironic thing is if Tennessee does hire him, it will just ad the their well documented history of questionable coaching hires.

Yes... I don't even want to call that place Don Haskins Center East.
A good coach trumps facilities every time.
the coaches in the pac12 must really suck...

Really because the last time I checked, 4 PAC 12 schools made it to the dance. All 4 of them made it to the round of 32 and 3 out of 4 made it to the Sweet 16.

and only of them made it to the elite 8, and then they were gone

Still likely had the third best tournament as a conference.

Only ACC and Big 10 did better.

I may be wrong, but I believe Cusa has had more final four teams represent the conference in the final four over the past 10 years than the slack 12. Yes or no?

nevermind, I see sucla had a good three year run, but now they have alford... good luck to them getting past the sweet sixteen

I guess UTSA better look somewhere else. UTK appears to have lassoed the Texan. Must have been the urenge color! Barnes can still wear his old clothes at the new job.

How about Memorial Gym West?
Sorry UTSA fan, looks like he is new coach at TEnn...Trading in different shades of orange...Tenn. continues to hire questionable coaches...At least they finally got the right football coach..
