Absolutely!!!!!01-ncaabbs
That was awesome. I'm glad Ted has gotten onboard with the Monarchs.
Holy Smokes!!!!!!

I love it!
I like TED but he needed to get out of the way and let the crowd response tell the story. Wouldn't have known there was anyone in the building with him screaming for five seconds.

He was ever so close to saying something other than smokes. Nice save, Ted!

Man, I just hardly ever disagree with you, but I think you are wrong on this one. That call ranks right up there with the all time great "game winner" calls, and, in my opinion, it was perfect for the situation.
Yes! Thank you for posting this. I was hoping last night that someone would post Ted's radio call for this. If anyone is interested in hearing how it was relayed by the Murray State radio announcer, it's here:

For some reason, their guys are much less enthusiastic than Ted was.
Not a big fan of his but his call at the end will help change that. It was an epic bit and as good as the other famous ones I can remember at the moment (personal fav. "do you believe in miracles?") Great call on a great night for ODU.
I think Ted Alexander does a great job. I don't get the criticisms. He is energetic, enthusiastic, provides relevant information and interesting to listen to.

I thought the same thing!

He used to drive me nuts when he would say things like "spheroid", but I think he's gotten stronger over the years. I enjoy his game broadcasts. I think he does a great job.
i also think Teds criticism over the last few years is unwarranted he is a huge ODU fan and does a great job.........now to me Castleberry was dry toast, he couldn't call play by play at a turtle race.....
Love college basketball and Ted made it sound like you were a part of it. He's getting much better and I think having Dave on the broadcast team is a huge improvement.
Thought Alexanders last second call was "EPIC" myself ! Hey, even the ESPN guy was screaming on his call. What a game!
No biggie Aggie. In probably the only person that wished he would have let the crowd tell the story because the reaction was the story but I'm okay with that. I am wrong as often as in right.

For the record, I'm a TED A fan.

Tough to hold that back though. I don't think I could have called it without screaming.
I just enjoyed listening to that several times. Ted captured what all of us fans were feeling. Thanks for posting the link.

I am kind of with you. It would have been nice if he had cut it a little short so we could hear the crowd on the back end. But, in this case, the enthusiasm seemed so sincere that it is tough to fault him for being truly excited about an amazing finish.
