Oh boy. Surprising? Not really. Lurch and Barry want a deal regardless how bad it is.

Quote:PARIS (NYT) — If an agreement to limit Iran’s nuclear capability is reached by deadline in the next seven days, one thing may be missing: an actual written accord, signed by the Iranians.

Over the past few weeks, Iran has increasingly resisted any kind of formal “framework” agreement at this stage in the negotiations, preferring a more general statement of “understanding” followed by a final accord in June, according to Western diplomats involved in the talks.

Should that position hold — one of the many unknowns of the coming days — the United States and its five negotiating partners may find themselves in the uncomfortable position of describing the accord as they understand it while the Iranians go home to offer their own version.

That poses a weighty political challenge to the Obama administration, which is already under pressure to present Iran’s commitments to a suspicious Congress by early April, in an effort to hold off the passage of sanctions or a bill that would require Congress to sign off on any agreement.

Actually, you nailed it....

State Department Won’t Promise To Tell Americans What Details Of Iran Nuke Deal Are Before Obama Signs It…

Again, America totally deserves this.

Obama NEVER hid his intentions. Everyone knew who he was and what he stood for. The first election was a mulligun; the key objective in 2008 was for America to "prove" it wasn't racist by electing a black man as POTUS. His disastrous first term showed the immense stupidity of that mistake.

But, by electing Obama AGAIN in 2012, there are no excuses. No defense. No horsesh!t rationalizations. So, take it, America. Embrace this fool's colossal errors, his abuse of power, his complete disregard for any honest negotiating across the aisle.

We 100% deserve whatever ramifications emerge from his arrogant ineptitude and hatred of America.
Honestly, does it matter if anything is in writing? I mean, if this thing is done, Iran will renege on it eventually anyway. Anyone honestly think having something in writing will make a deference? What would we do anyway, put another sanction on Iran?

Vid note: At 1:15 mark Kerry struggles to yell as his Botox-crippled face fights him the entire way.

In less than 90 seconds, he gave the world permission to drop sanctions and the Iranians permission to continue business as usual. Impressive game of liars poker there. It makes me wonder who he thinks he's negotiating with.

Absolutely it matters. It's as if the Iranian leadership is reading our discussions of how much Obama is willing to give up for a piece of paper, and they declared "a piece of paper is too much! We won't even give him that!"
A handshake agreement with the ayatollah. What could go wrong?
Iran Is Stalling Probe Into Their Nuclear Weapons Research, Have Failed To Comply With Turning Over Info

So they’re still spitting in the eye of the investigators right now, and not complying with requirements, and yet Obama still will do anything to keep this farce going.

Quote:VIENNA (Reuters) – Iran is failing to address suspicions it may have worked on designing an atomic bomb, according to the latest report by a U.N. watchdog, potentially complicating efforts by world powers to reach a deal with Tehran on its nuclear program.

The report by the International Atomic Energy Agency said Tehran had still not provided information it was due to produce more than two months ago to help advance a long-running IAEA inquiry into suspected nuclear weapons research.

The confidential document was issued to IAEA member states less than three weeks before the Nov. 24 deadline by which Iran and six global powers are seeking to end a decade-old standoff over the Islamic Republic’s atomic activities.

“Iran has not provided any explanations that enable the agency to clarify the outstanding practical measures,” it said.

Frankly, we're better off without the piece of paper. Iran would ignore whatever was in the document - and will never allow the inspections necessary to assure compliance.

Without the inspections - the only thing a document will do is leave us to be forced to live to our end of whatever is in it. We would (and world opinion would demand) get raked over the coals if we didn't follow the document to the letter.

Anything signed is only a one way agreement for us to follow - Iran will ignore it and do as they please.

A good read explaining the idiocy of the negotiations.

I guess it matters from a diplomacy viewpoint, but from an actual "real world" perspective, I'd bet Iran wouldn't care what was on that piece of paper and would do whatever it wanted to do.
Reporter Richard Engel: Gulf Allies keeping secrets from US because they think Obama is leaking info to Iran

"This is a big deal. The United States military was taken off guard by the recent fighting in the Gulf region. Why? Because our allies in the region didn’t confide in us. Why? Because they think Obama is leaking sensitive information to Iran. What is happening?"

Close Media Aide To President Rouhani Defects During Iran Nuclear Talks, Leaks Troubling Information

Wow. The Obama regime are acting as the agents of Iran in the talks…Of course is this really surprising?

Quote:A close media aide to Hassan Rouhani, the Iranian president, has sought political asylum in Switzerland after travelling to Lausanne to cover the nuclear talks between Tehran and the West.

Amir Hossein Motaghi, who managed public relations for Mr Rouhani during his 2013 election campaign, was said by Iranian news agencies to have quit his job at the Iran Student Correspondents Association (ISCA)….

In his television interview, Mr Mottaghi also gave succour to western critics of the proposed nuclear deal, which has seen the White House pursue a more conciliatory line with Tehran than some of America’s European allies in the negotiating team, comprising the five permanent members of the UN security council and Germany.

“The US negotiating team are mainly there to speak on Iran’s behalf with other members of the 5+1 countries and convince them of a deal,”
he said.

Well it looks like a tentative agreement has been reached, which final details the be hammered out by July. I found this quote interesting...

Quote:In the search for a comprehensive deal, the U.S. and five other countries hope to curb Iran's nuclear technologies that it could use to make weapons. Tehran denies such ambitions but is negotiating because it wants a lifting of sanctions imposed over its nuclear program.

Are we really supposed to believe that?

This will end badly!

President and his staff, Congress, and Senate make Americans look like fools!
The Iranians are clearly in the driver's seat during these negotiations.

Which is perplexing, since they're the ones with their backs against the wall.

Even Howard Dean as much as said that Obama's a ***** for allowing the "deadline" to be equivalent to a "red line".
