This team was due for this to happen. They've lost some close games where they played well, and they've had some tough luck with injuries.
Winners of 4 of their last 5, though, might be the start of something good.

2 of those 4 wins was against Marshall so don't put too much into them! I was actually glad to see Marshall take 1 of 3 from the Blazers last weekend. Last week was the first time I failed to go to a single game of a Marshall-UAB baseball series in Birmingham.
I hope UAB keeps rolling though. I come to the Auburn game last week and brought one of the guys I work with to his first game at Regions. My only disappointment was that I purchased a bag of peanuts at the concession stand expecting Peanut Depot peanuts and received a bag of Hampton Farms peanuts. How can they sell those there when Peanut Depot is just a 2000 ft HR to left field away from the ballpark? I loved the way the players stressed that "it's all about the "B"" in the pre game video. I heard the announcer refer to them as "Birmingham's team" throughout the night as well.
I'd make a game this weekend if they weren't playing in Bowling Green. There is a group of us planning on coming next Tuesday to the game vs UAT. Sounds like a good time to host a #FireRayWatts and #FreeUAB rally. Hopefully by that point it would become a time to have a celebration.
