I have no knowledge of this, but it's possible Chasse had made the decision weeks ago, and might even have a new coach in his back pocket. What makes me think this might be a possibility? He knows that signing day is a short time away, and a new coach would need that time and more to evaluate the current players and bring in his own players and coaches.
Let's assume the new coach is already a done deal, and has been quietly studying film of our games so he can sort of see who he wants to keep and who he doesn't. Just a possibility. I'll go out on a limb and predict we'll know who the coach is by next week.

I spoke to Chasse this morning. Didn't mention Wes or anyone else. I hope he keeps the search "close to the vest" and doesn't let too many others get involved. Too many cooks spoil the broth.

That's the way it should be. Unless, of course, he's telling me. Unfortunately he is not.
